Anybody ever seen this movie? How is it? I heard that it's incredibly violent and bloody. I've been meaning to get around to watching renting/buying it, but there were a few other flicks I wanted to see first. Basically, I just wanna know what you thought of this movie.

Not really. It's one of a group of films that kind of followed in Tarantino's wake. Most of them were obviously ripoffs, but I always thought this one was a solid cut above the rest. It's a bank heist, but it's also about friendship and how it's percieved differently by different people. It's structured in an interesting way.
It also features a good cast, most notably Eric Stoltz (who is always dependable) and Julie Delpy, who is her typically charming self. Be warned: she's in a few scenes early in the film (she's a prostitute who has a date w/ Stoltz, for a really great sex scene) and then disappears for a long time. Don't watch it just for her.
IMHO, worth a look. I rather liked it.

I liked the movie. It seemed to drag a bit but overall I say rent it. I agree it is a cut above the rest of Tarantino rips, it holds your intrest with some nice dialoge and people you can care about.
It's good. The best performance comes from Jean Hughes Anglade (he was in Betty Blue and Nikita) as Eric but Stoltz and Julie Delpy are great too. The film does sag a bit in the 20 minutes between Delpy exiting the story and the start of the heist but once they get into the bank it's excitng and not entirely predictable. Rent it first.

Don't be fooled by the rad cover art... This movie is dumb and forgetful. (I watched it earlier this year, and I can't explain my dislike for it any more than this because I FORGOT THE FILM! LOL. :p ) Obviously there are many things I thought sucked about this movie, because I'm looking back in my movie database on my computer right now, and I gave it a C. Maybe some of the performances are good, but I do remember the film mainly just being boring.
Go watch Pulp Fiction again, Vic.

It's a very mediocre film in every way. In fact I have forgotten almost everything about it, except that Julie Delpy gets her tits out, which is always nice. 5/10.

i totally agree. Its no way near as good as other Tarantino movies. I was pretty bored whilst watching it, but it isnt the worst movie but i would say its tarantino's worst. Also ,if i remember correctly- it isn't THAT bloody and violent

Quentin Tarintino didn't make this movie JRS. The co-writer of Pulp Fiction, Roger Avary (The Rules Of Attraction) directed it.
