View Full Version : Wich actor gonna play the sniper?
Now they probably caught the sniper there's no doubt about it that they gonna make a movie about it.
But who do you think is gonna play the role of the sniper?
I am not sure yet myself but i think that Denzel "Washington"is the best choise for the role of police commisionar Charles Moose.
So who is gonna be the sniper??????

Kiefer Sutherland- Phone Booth
and it's already made
Now all they'll have to do is add (based on a true story to their tagline)

Denzel's good...
Now stick in Keanu Reeves as the sniper. He's such a convincing bad guy...

... Yeah... Riiiiiiight... :p
No, but, seriously...
That "drug lord" guy in The Rules of Attraction would be good. The one who's got the temper... He's also from The Last Castle.

For a while there I thought the sniper was following the movie Dirty Harry. He randomly picked off people and Fox News said the sniper and the police were going to communicate about the ransom in a disclosed way. In Dirty Harry, the Scorpio Killer and the cops talk about the ransom cash through the classified ads in the San Fran Newspaper. Just a thought.

It'll be awhile before a movie is made about it. The victims' family and friends need time.

This film will not be made. It would be sickening. These attacks were sad and tragic. Hollywood will not touch this and someone like Denzel would never sign on.

If they make a movie about this which they better not, I say the actor to play the sniper would be Mario Van Peebles, they look the same. You do the comparison.

Pic of the sniper. You be the judge. Knowing hollywood theyll make a movie, since theres already a 911 movie out and a columbine-like movie called "Bang Bang your dead"

You're definately right, Nuclear Misfit. If they make a movie about this, Mario's the man. They look exactly the same.

It would be absolutely disgusting to make a film about this at all, but especially so soon after. But if it had to happen, I agree that Denzel Washington should play the great Chief Charles Moose, and that Mario Van Peebles could do John Allen Muhammad, the sniper.

Unfortunately, I don't think Hollywood has a whole lot of limits when it comes to making films exploiting tragedies. If they wait a few years and can make some money, I can almost guarantee the movie will be made.

Besides this film would be boring. He shot people from yards and yards away. They caught him sleeping at a rest station. Not exactly huge summer blockbuster material.

Manipulate the events that actually happened, throw in some huge big budget effects, big name actors, a formulaic trite love story, and you got yourself a blockbuster.
Samual L. Jackson could do it better then anybody.

Hollywood's never been known for historical accuracy, so I'd expect it to be about one of the victims, w/ a love story, and would turn into a big budget Fugitive type movie about catching the sniper. Capped off w/ a last shot of a sniper aiming at some civillians, paving the way for a sequel. But this should never be made

I live right outside of D.C. and I think it would be poor taste to make a movie about the sniper right now. On another note Jackson wouldn't play well as a sniper in any movie I rather see him get in your face like Pulp Fiction. Anyway I could see a movie that takes place during the time frame of the sniper shootings like Lee did with Summer of Sam.

I agree that it is too soon to make a film about this right now, but why would it be so horrible in the years to come? I dont understand how people can praise films about the Holocaust, and WWII, and Vietnam, and think that something so insignificant, in comparison, could be such a horrible thing. It isnt a horrible thing, it is life. And it is my firm belief that anything, and everything could, and in most cases, should be put on film. Why? I dont know; im just weird like that. But still,.....
As for who should play the sniper - doesnt matter to me. As long as there is no love story. Which, I dont think there would be. For as much as you guys slag Hollywood, you all love it, just as much as everyone else. So,....yeah.

I currently live in Washington, DC and have to say that I'm glad not to have to continously be looking over my shoulder at all times. The sniper madness had me on edge. That being said, the other day I was telling my dad that Denzel would be the best choice for Charles Moose so I certainly agree with you on that.
