It's not a BAD movie depending on the frame of mind you watch it in. After the storyline of the original, it's obvious it would've been impossible to repeat this! So if y'all watched this movie expecting a really decent storyline/ plot, with original characters then you're dumbasses for watching it in the first place! I think the movie ROCKS for what it is. A fun slasher with enjoyable jump scenes and cool kills! (excellent location)

I wasn't watching for those things...But I did like the location...The plot went nowhere and was a piece of crap...

I really, really dig this movie.
I Think the problem is that it is sooo different from the first.
By different I mean....
The Characters- pt.1 had TEEN-ish characters (Max, Elsa, etc.) , and pt.2 had older characters ( Hotel Guy, Estes, and Nancy)
The Setting- Compare a Small Fishing Town with a Tropical Island
and Finally
Soundtrack- pt.1 had Teen musik, like Rock
pt. 2 has more Tropical and RAVEish type musik
IMO, I STILL KNOW, is really underrated

God, I hate these new slasher flicks, they're so pointless. Just take any old 80's slasher, increase production values, remove most gore and t&a and that's what you get...

Although I didn't like this film you are obviously lost in lala land if you think Nightmare on Elm Street originated nightmare scenes in classrooms and that the Shining was the first horror film to be set at a hotel.

i was just saying most kevin williams movies rip off other movies
like scream 2's beginning ripped off "he knows your alone" and it ripped off the broken arrow sound track
scream ripped off alot too.like when billy sneaked into sydneys room just like glenn sneaked into nancys room
IKWYDLS ripped off prom night
the list goes on
so thats why i didnt like ISKWYDLS because it is obvious were they stole ideas
is that ok with you JDOG83?

scream was a kind of mockumentry of various horror films, some directly, some indirectly.

Yeah I think Billy climbing in the window in "Scream" was a deliberate homage to "NOES".

This was a terrible move for many, many reasons. The characters were all annoying; The plots was beyond stupid; and it was pretty tame.
Not an enjoyable film, by any means.

I'll tell you whats wrong with I Still Know. Love Hewitt has now been in two cheesy slasher flicks and still we see no boobs.

It doesn't really bother me if a horror film lifts plot elements from another, as long as it is skillfully made. The original IKWYDLS has been blasted for ripping off Prom Night, but I have not seen that eighties slasher so I cannot really comment on this.
The fact remains that I Still Know What You Did Last Summer is a bad film, practically a poster child for everything that is wrong with modern teen horror movies. I was not a fan of the original, but at least it had a slightly stronger plot than the sequel did. Despite the attractive tropical settings, it just doesn't offer a lot of thrills. Why the hell did Ben Willis go to all this trouble to lure them there? Can't he just go to where they are and finish what he started in the last film? The fact is they just needed an excuse to set in in the tropics. Fine, but couldn't they just go on vacation normal-like, then have Ben track them down? Forgive me if I seem too nitpicky, but the whole thing reeks of contrivance.
However, I have to admit that Jennifer Love Hewitt charmed me in both films. Quite frankly, without her they would be nearly unwatchable (despite the slick visuals). For this second outing, horror icon Jeffery Combs has a small part as the hotel clerk. He sure seems to be enjoying himself, but I suspect that this is one film that was more fun to make than to actually watch. Mekhi Phifer, in contrast, is just plain annoying as the obligory horny young man. Noted for an especially stupid plot twist at the end. That sure came out of left field.

I thought this movie was one of the better movies in the subgenre of 'crappy teen horror flicks'. I thought it was very atmospheric (I loved the abandoned hotel on the island, and there was one scene with a flock of birds that looked really good too), there were a few tense moments (which is something you can't say for URBAN LEGEND, the SCREAM sequels or most other crappy teen horror flicks), the actors weren't TERRIBLE and the kills were adequately gory.
I've only seen this movie once, and I know it wouldn't stand up to repeated viewings. But I must have been in exactly the right frame of mind when I saw it because I really had a blast.
I wasn't impressed by the plot, of course, but if you go to see a crappy teen horror flick expecting a plot then you're looking in the wrong place!
In fact, I STILL KNOW was one of the few teen horror flicks of the late nineties that I actually enjoyed.

I liked both the i know films but only liked them, they wrent great.
I just really like the fact that this teen slasher doesn't go around with the "the killer is one of them" things. I like it when the killer is a mysterious guy

Good point.
While I liked the first one, this one really didn't live up to my expectations. Besides the fact that it was on STARS like constantly.
Did anyone else notice that almost everyone but Julie gets killed or injured in this movie? Oops, I fogot the part where Ben locks her in the tanning bed. "Ooh! I got it, instead of killing her, I'll give her a REAL bad sunburn muah ha ha ha..."
Ah who am I kiddin' if nothing else was on I'd probably watch this just for the heck of it. Kinda like Batman & Robin.
