Battle Royale and Versus: Extended Versions???

I was at the Chiller Theatre Saturday in New Jersey and I picked up bootlegs of Battle Royale, Versus, and The Ring just because they were cheap. I got all 3 for 25 bucks...coudln't turn that down.

The guy told me they were all from the laserdisc versions of the films.

Here's my questions, but Battle Royale and Versus say they are extended directors cuts. Versus clocks in at 2 and 1/2 hours and Battle Royale says it is 3 hours long.

How different are these versions from others that are out there? Has anyone seen these extended versions?

3 hours just seems like an excruciatingly long time for Japanese subtitles.

well the new SE of battle royal out here in the UK has a new 'requiem ending' and few new other scenes im not really that sure. it clocks in at 117 minutes approx according to the back of the dvd.

Oh, right. I suppose it would be hard to add another hour to that (unless they just loop scenes)
