What did you people think of this sequel? I liked this one a lot better than 4, 5 & 6, and Freddy's character was super evil, except for some scenes. Also the make up was great on robert England and the action was good. what's your opinion????

thanks

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors features a comfortable mix of humor and morbid creepiness. I find most of this film thoroughly enjoyable. The death sequences are highly creative, my favorite being the "vein/puppet" scene. I liked the addition of Freddy's mother to the series as well. It added a subtle plot twist that enhanced the storyline nicely. I was nerved by a few things, though. Heather Langenkamp was solid in the original, but here, her performance seems off a bit. I'm not sure if it was her hairstyle that set me off, or the occasional putrid dialogue that she was forced to spew forth onto the camera lens. Her character just rubbed me the wrong way. However, I did appreciate most of the cast. It was cool to see a pre-fame Laurence Fishburne as well as a cute, likeable Patricia Arquette. I could have went without the wizard kid and the punk girl. Their dream sequences are a bit too cheesy for my liking. Overall, I feel that Dream Warriors is a solid entry into the NOES franchise. The effects are cool, Freddy isn't an all-out comedian yet, and it has a strong pace that doesn't bore you, yet it doesn't feel rushed.

My rating-4/5

I was so excited to watch this film after all the good things I heard about it. People have said it's the best of the series, and I totally disagree. I think it's the worst. The death scenes were cool, and I liked some of Freddy's one-liners, but this film was just way to cheesy for me. Ahhh, that ending(That wizard kid was a sin)!

I love this movie. It kicks some serious ass.It really connects on an emotional level. It has great character development(Jennifer's longing to be an actor,Taryn's disgust with her past experience with drugs.etc.) which makes you care for them more, and when they get killed it gets to you more.Which is an advantage that this series has over othersLike the Friday movies. They always had a much higher body count, but a lot of those were assholes that pop up for a minute just to be cannon fodder,or they're very poorly developed.Part 8 had about 4 people out of 50 you could connect with and like. And while Freddy has a lower count, the kills are much more effective. The vibe of the movie was great, the kills solid.Poor effects but what do you want for the time.Bringing Nancy and her father back and then killing them was just like a right hook to the jaw.And a cool introduction to Freddy's past was also a plus.I could talk about at least a dozen more things, but I'm clocking out.

I thought it was great and easily the second best NOES flick, The beginning I like a lot, With Kristin in the house with the little girl. I apreciated the subtleness of Freddys first appearance, Having the girl say ''Daddy's home'' and the shadow play with Freddys image and glove gave Freddy first appearance more impact. Most of the characters are cool, and It also had Nancy. The only bad thing about is the cheesy stop motion skeleton. I thought the Wizard kid was funny and found his death hilarious

It's the third best in the series behind the orginal and New Nightmare. Heather does a better acting job, Englund does his Freddy thing(good stuff) good one liners, Craig wasson sucks, cool to see larry fishburn in a small role. Most of the kids sucked except for patrica arquette, the Wizard Kid was the lamest character i've ever seen and I was very happy when he was killed. Some of the effects were pretty bad such as the skeleton and the puppet thing in the beginning but overall i was amused. 7/10

The best part of the movie was the Dokken video at the end.

A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET 3: DREAM WARRIORS (1987) Directed by Chuck Russell. Nightmare killer Freddy Krueger (Robert Englund) is up to his old tricks again, this time targeting teens in a psychiatric rehab hospital. Also returning from the first “Nightmare” film are Heather Langenkamp (whose character Nancy Thompson is now a psychologist), and John Saxon as Nancy’s alcoholic policeman father Donald. The rest of the all-star cast includes: Patricia Arquette (as the nominal heroine) and Laurence Fishburne (as a sympathetic male nurse) during their pre-superstardom days; Craig Wasson and Priscilla Pointer as rival psychiatrists; Brooke Bundy as Arquette’s bitchy mom; and Rodney Eastman, Ken Sagoes, Jennifer Rubin, Bradley Gregg, Ira Heiden and Penelope Sudrow as the teen inmates. This third entry in the “Nightmare” film series is the best sequel, and almost as good as the original, boasting excellent production values, imaginative special effects and Freddy’s dynamic dialogue (his scathing, pre-murderous wit is hysterical!). My grade: B+

Out of all the "Nightmare" films I enjoy this one the most. I thought it was a cool concept of the Elm St. kids having dream powers. This made the action sequences in the film all the more cooler. The dialogue was pretty good for a low budget b movie horror film. And the Elm St. kids were all unique to me and likeable. The kills were pretty creative too in this film. Like the human marionette and slamming the girl through the t.v. Freddy spited out some cool one liners. Like saying "What's wrong Joey? Feeling tongue tied?" Or "Sorry kid. I don't believe in fairy tales." Let's not forget the lovely scene where Joey makes out with the nubile nurse. She was so super fine. Had lovely golden blond hair and nice big titties. I wish I could marry somebody that looks just like her. She is the biggest highlight of the film for me. When I see this film I ALWAYS think of that fantasy of Joey making out with her. Shame she never made it into the big time of a. movies because IF she dressed right I would have gone to almost all her movies. Anyways Stefan's out.
