I'm very excited, my local theater is FINALLY getting THE RING this weekend! I can't wait to see it!

Interesting, I assumed Jackass wouldn't exactly be a low-key release, but definetly wouldn't be number 1. Go Knoxville!

That's cool, I hope you enjoy it. The local theater near me only has 3 movies playing at once and is just now getting it this next weekend as well. I usually don't go to that theater though, the one I go to his about an hour away, it's a much nicer theater. I plan on seeing THE RING again this weekend, I was going to go last weekend but then something came up and I couldn't go.

My local theater is in my town. It's a nice 14 screen stadium seating theater. It's very nice, they keep it clean and in good condition and all. So I was surprised when they didn't get THE RING because they usually get every major film released. See, I live in a big town, but I'm surrounded by lots of small towns, so I'd have to travel a long distance to get to another theater that was playing THE RING. But, I'm glad they are getting it. They smartened up because of how much money it's making.

Jeez!
The Ring had a great, but not surprising Halloween Day gross. It increased by some 104% from Wednesday which is great for Dreamworks.
GhostShip also had a healthy increase as well.
Both flicks obviously benefited from being Horror/Thriller's on All Hallow's Eve.
On the otherhand, Jackass continued its rapid day by day decline, grossing less than half of what it grossed on Monday.
We should expect a huge dropoff this weekend for the flick anywhere in the range of 55-70%!

I knew THE RING would be #1 on Thursday but I didn't think it would have such a HUGE increase, I can't believe it increased 109%, it's great. Family movies also seemed to do well with JONAH and TUCK EVERLASTING making their way into the top 10.

The Santa Clause did okay, but it was under my guess. I figure it should finish with about 19 million this weekend and be sqaushed in two weeks when Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets opens. I guess 8 years was too long inbetween original and sequel for the Santa Clause franchise.
I Spy looks to be another Showtime. I thought it would be a 20-30 million opener, but it looks to make about 12 million. Another bomb for Murphy and it'll be killed when Harry Potter opens and even more so when Die Another Day opens.

Wow, that $7.7 million opening day is much less than I anticipated for The Santa Clause 2. Scratch that $45 million guess I made eariler, let's go with $19-23 million.

The Santa Clause 2 did have too long of a wait between the original and the sequel. Many of the kids who enjoyed the original are now in high school and have no interest in it (me). But it should have a very healthy Friday-to-Saturday increase. I predict a 24 Million opening now.
The Ring keeps kickin ass due to healthy word-of-mouth. I can definitley see it crossing the 100 million mark and I can smell a sequel.
I Spy was quite a bomb. Many people predicted a 30 million opening but it won't even have a 20 million opening... Here are me and my brother's predictions for it over at Lee's Movie Info:
Friday: 4.9 Million
Saturday: 5.7 Million
Sunday: 4.1 Million
We didn't win.
jackass had over a 50% decrease like everybody predicted, but it already made it's budget back so I'm praying for a sequel!!!
And it's about time MBFGW finally fell out of the top 10...
The Ring is doing fabulously well. It looks to be making another $15-17 million this week. I guess it won't take too long before it reaches the $100 million mark in USA. Can't wait to see it.
Eddie Murphy will have a hard work recovering from this year's series of flops (Showtime- Pluto Nash- I Spy).
Santa Clause 2 did considerably well. It should make $20-22 million this weekedn coz I guess it will have a big push from Saturday's gross like most family movies.

I still refuse to see the Ring. Now I refuse to see Jackass.
I walked into Comedian last night, and watched 10 minutes until I refused to sit down. It was terrible.
I am sort of refusing to see I spy, cause mr. joblo gave it a bad review. I think if there is a bad review, don't show us the review, it makes me not want to see a movie I wanted to see. I hate that. But whatever. My life sucks now, and I pretty much on the verge of jumping out this window.
P.S.
Never go to a school in the middle of nowhere, and have no TV, radio, or a bike or car. Never. you will turn out like me, who hates everything, and that includes myself.
Ahh!

YES!!! I am so happy that THE RING keeps kicking ass... It looks to make more than its opening weekend again. Another 16-17 Million weekend is great, it deserves its success. My friends want me to go to the movies tonight otherwise we're just going to watch a movie at my place, so if we go to the movies we'll probably see THE RING and if we watch a movie at my place then we'll probably watch KISSING JESSICA STEIN.
I knew I SPY wouldn't do that well, I should have stuck with my original prediction of 16.4 Million but then I changed it to 17.4 Million and for my Lees Movie Info prediction I predicted 18.17 Million. DAMN!
Here's my leesmovieinfo.com prediction:
Friday - 6.1
Saturday - 7.32
Sunday - 4.75
Total - 18.17 Million
The Santa Clause 2 didn't do as well as I expected but it still looks to open with more than the first one did. It will have very good legs just like the first one and I see it making at least 100 Million. I should have stuck with my original prediction of 30 Million but instead I went with 39 Million. It should make around 23-25 Million this weekend...
MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING keeps getting closer to 200 Million and it will obviously make it there. I'm glad it's a success.
JACKASS should make around 11-12 Million this weekend, which is close to my 11.4 Million prediction.
The movie I'm most impressed with though is THE RING, keep on kicking ass...

Wow! The Santa Clause 2 really came back up after what seemed like a moderate Friday gross. Good for them. Tim Allen deserves it. He is the best comedian, hands down.

im still completely surprised and happy for the Ring, it is really cleanin up at the box office in the past few weeks. It is a great movie and i hope for it's continued success.
Actual figures for I SPY says it grossed only $12.7 million during the weekend. It means $1.3 million LESS than estimates. Eddie Murphey is losing it.
