Does anyone read VC. Andrews books? If so what were your fave's?
I still read her books however the style of writing is completely different since the ghostwriter took over writing her books after her death.
All of the original VC. Andrews books were really good........everything else is mediocre IMO.

I read "Flowers in the Attic" when I was in high school, and was gripped by the kids' plight and the escape scene. I read the sequels, however, and they struck me as romantic, religiously-tinged pap. The last book I read was "My Sweet Audrina", which just left a bad taste in my mouth. The whole plot premise was in poor taste and unbelievable.
Didn't one or more of her children take over ghost-writing her post-mortem works from her notes? I thought I read that somewhere. Just wondered.

As far as I know her family hired a ghost-writer to write the rest of her books. The current work is no where near as good as her original work.
I found her early work especially the Dollanganger/Flowers in the attic sagas excellent. The ghostwriter is just not capturing the essence of writing that VC. Andrews had unfortunately.
