Who is the best villian of the year 2000-2002?
And if you can get a picture of that villian. Hope you know my favorite:

Wall Street played by Matt Schulze - The Transporter

I'm gonna have to agree with you on this one. And I'd like to give a shout out to Riddick from Pitch Black, Gabriel Shear from Swordfish, Mr. Meiks from Frailty and Green Goblin from Spider-man as runners-up.

My choice goes to a dark horse: Josh Harnett's Hugo from "O", an emotional, manipulative, chilling villain.

Riddick the bad guy in Pitch Black (8/10)? He was the bad @ss but not the "bad guy", you really need to sit down and watch the film again.

The best villian of the 21st century imo is Nomak (played by Luke Goss) from Blade II (8/10).

****SPOILERS****

Riddick was a killer and was going to leave them behind without hesitation. It was only near the end where he suddenly became "good". Johns was the bad guy, but Riddick was a bad guy, just one that they depended on (because of his eyes) but just happened to do something thoughtful in the end. Or - my interpretation is bullshit, which I'm suspecting it might be. Actually, I think you're right. Maybe I do need to watch it again...

I will probably slightly over-step the boundary here

Riddick (Pitch Black)
Raoul (Panic Room)
Darth Mauol (Phantom Menace)
Nomak (Blade II)
Walter Finch (Insomia)

Nomak from Blade 2, and Gabriel Shear from Swordfish. The best villains are the type who think they're doing the right thing, a la Shear, and the fucked-from-the-start, a la Nomak

Both Se7en and The Usual Suspects came out in 1995, which leaves them out of the running for the topic of this thread, which involves movies made between 2000 and 2002. We're looking for villians of the 21st century.

After seeing BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE, I'd like to add Charlton Heston to the list as villain/asshole of the year (if not the century).

That's a really good choice but The Matrix came out in '99. The topic deals with 2000 and beyond, unless you're talking about Reloaded and Revolutions :D
