It's always good to read the book first before seeing the movie. The books are better anyhow.

It is good either way. If you see CoS, having read the book you can anticipate all the big parts and look for changes, You can see how the actors and crew capture your imagination. If you see CoS without reading the book, you will get all the suprises. You will not know how the mystery unravels and you will not know the big twist. It all depends on which one you fancy.
I agree. If you read the books it will increase your enjoyment of the movies. The film is wonderful but if you start reading the book it will be better. It's alwayse more fun to read a book like this one, full of imagination and strange world and then go to the movies finding all this stuff that captured your imagination coming true.

that is true, in the sorcerors stone ( me not having read the book ) did not know who the bad guy was. I think that i'll see the movies first, then read the books. gotta leave the spurises to the movies.

Still, even if you already know the twists of the book it will not affect you enjoyment of the movies. I can say I have tried both ways. I have seen the first movie before I read any of the books. After I saw it (and loved it) I started reading the books. I read the four books twice each. And now I'm excited for The Chamber Of Secrets despite my knowing for everything that will happen in it.
