Has anybody besides me heard of or love this band? Its drummer is Jason Schwartzman. I hear that another member was in Donnie Darko.

Yeah, I love the mellowed out sound of CALIFORNIA. Jason Schwartzman must be very talented. Cool band!

I've loved Phantom Planet for a while now. Don't just download their music buy their album 'The Guest' its and excellent album. They play some great melodic rock one of the best new bands out.
