On your list, definatly Unforgiven , however my favourite is The good the bad and the ugly , whilst High plains drifter and The rest of the Dollars trilogy deserve to be on that list

Unforgiven is the best movie Clint has ever been involved in. A watershed moment, to be sure. He has made many good movies, but none on par with this masterpiece.

I'd say Dirty Harry or Unforgiven. i dont even like westerns but I thought Unforgiven was quite good. I also liked The Dead Pool and Magnum Force and Sudden Impact was a terrible sequel to dirty harry, That's it, all i've seen of eastwood. From that list i'll pick Dirty Harry.

I think nobody has mentioned it yet, and it's kind of a girlie movie, but if you haven't seen it, I can recommend it very much:

The Bridges Of Madison County

This movie is sooo beautiful.. It's amazing to see the softer side of Mr Eastwood, acting-wise and directing-wise.

"The softer side of Clint Eastwood"? Yuck! ;)

IMO, he's at his very best as the bad guy in the Poncho

My favorite is The Good, the Bad and the Ugly followed by unforgiven. Don't know what is after that. I like the other dollar movies a lot though.

Oh yeah, what is the movie where he commands a marine platoon? He was great in that, and looked AMAZINGLY buffed out. I've never seen him that buff before, it was just bizzare especially because he had to be in his 60s during that role but looked stronger then when he was 20 back in Rawhide.

I love alot of Clint Eastwood's movies. These would have to be my faves:

5. Dirty Harry - He's mad as hell & he's not gonna take it anymore, punk.

4. Bridges Of Madison County - He's lonely as hell & he's not gonna take it anymore, punk.

3. The Man With No Name series - A gunslinger that epitomizes the strong, silent bad-ass type so much that it's hard to believe that there was actually a time in movie history that this character didn't exist.
Pard'ner.
...oops. I mean....
Punk.

2. Unforgiven - This film could've also been called "The Final Chapter Of The Man With No Name, But Now We've Given Him A Name, Punk."

1. Million Dollar Baby - This movie had me at "Mo Cuishle".

Not to bash but I was not very impressed with the choices listed here at all. I mean some obvious ones are there (Dirty Harry, Unforgiven) but some very obvious ones are not (GBU, Josey Wales)
