I just do not get why everyone is so into this film. I have not seen it, but the trailers just look HORRIBLE to me. The acting seems wooden and the film's plot is weak. I will skip this one, though for those who anticipate it, I hope it lives up to your expectations. :)

I enjoyed it, although I didn't think it was perfect by any means. The storyline is more or less a duplicate of Danny Boyle's earlier film, The Beach, except put in a different setting. I thought the actresses playing the two female leads were not very convincing, and the digital camera photography was a bit distracting, especially when projected onto a massive screen.

valid points, i agree the camera was a bit distracting but it still didn't take anyhting away from the overall effect and feel of the film.

Im gonna be honest i liked the movie and it made me jump then i read a comment about how it wasl ike the beach well i noticed thi image in the film set in the forest when Jim is hiding behind a tree in terror and we see the soliders now although not the exact same scene as in the beach they are both identical also.

****Spoilers****

The end at the army base where jim is running around the house without a shirto n in the rain stalking the soldiers is also identical to he beach

****End spoilers****

Anyways a good film with some good chills 8/10

I went into 28 Days Later with a huge dose of cynicism in me...I was under the impression that Danny Boyle had unfortunately bowed down to Hollywood. This film reassured me that he hadn't. British cast, UK setting, very British 'feel' to it.

The acting was overall quite strong, although teenage actress Megan Burns let the side down as Hannah. Even when her character wasn't sedated, she certainly acted it.

The film has it flaws, but very few films are without them. Some people may dismiss 28 Days Later as a mere zombie film, but when the UK is unfortunately now known for late Nineties drivel such as Love Honour and Obey and other various "you fahcking cahnt" riddled outings, it makes a refreshing change. And those infected humans are pretty damn frightening.

It's not Trainspotting, but without the comparison, it stands alone as a credible Brit film. Of which there are few. Nice one, Danny.

Sounds like it's picking up where Resident Evil left off, especially someone waking up in a deserted hospital, only to find the world has gone to hell when he exits.

Not such a bad thing, because if anything, 28 days could keep me happy until Nemesis is released.
