And Your Favorite Character Is...?

My favorite character from The Matrix has to be Morpheus, because he's cool and tough. Also, because Laurence Fishboune kicks ass all over the place! Who's your favorite?

I voted for Agent Smith. I love his deadpan delivery and slow emphasis on pretty much every single syllable. And Hugo Weaving is no slouch in the kung fu department next to Keanu, Carrie Anne and Laurence, either. My runner up would probably be Neo. That lobby scene and subway showdown scene are classics. Even if I don't want to watch the whole movie again, I'll sometimes just pop the DVD in and watch those two scenes a few times.

Morpheus & Agent Smith are charming in their martyr way of life, how they believe so much in what they are doing that nothing will come in the way of that, but Morpheus still has his human characteristics and that makes him alot more lovable, he isn't a program to destroy either, he naturaly kicks ass ;)

I think Apoc would be a great character for the expanded universe of The Matrix, he has that desperado look.

Trinity is alot like Morpheus in the sence of what they both believe in, and how she can be a soldier for mandkind and still not loose the woman in her. She is a great character.

All of the characters are very well developed and i that is enough for me to enjoy them all the same...

I feel the same way, but I don't really know why, since we're kinda meant to root for the good guys. Oh, well. I usually find the villains much more interesting or sometimes even more charismatic than the main character(s).

Agent Smith is a very interesting villian because, despite the fact that he is a computer program, he has developed tremendous emotional human frailty's, a quality that i hope is devolped more in the sequals.

Well of course it's gotta be Neo, simply because he makes the movie... but as far as a runner-up, I would have to say Morpheus - he says what he means and means what he says, no bull-shit, and no fear.

Trinity all the way. The actress is so incredibly attractive despite not being all that pretty. The character is confident, capable, and independent without losing a bit of her femininity. And the leather outfit... oh boy.

Who gave Morpheus the ass whoopin of a life time? Which agent had the balls to fight face to face with a guy who came back to life? Who outsmarted Neo, enabling him to put seven .44 claiber bullets in his chest?

Ummm... that would be Agent Smith. He is the one that does the dirty work. He thought of the idea to crush Trinity in the phone booth. When there's a problem, Agent Smith tries to think a problem through then take action, unlike his partners who like to blast their way to the end or let the sentinals handle the rebels.

Agent Smith is the Shit. No doubt about it. If he werent a comp. program, he would be The One.

Trinity is my favorite because her character was the smartest, showed good leader skills (better than Neo), had great fighting ability and wasn't annoying. (Morpheus annoyed me, he'd never shut up)

Agent Smith comes in a very close second because I love Hugo Weaving, one of the best Aussie actors around! The Interview and Pricilla - Queen of the Desert both really show how broad his acting range is!

Agent Smith, because Hugo Weaving is awesome. I mean, I saw this in the wrong order, but I was sitting, watching The Matrix, he takes off his glasses...and I think "holy shit, it's Elrond!"

He is the only man on Gods green earth that looks equally at ease pointing a bow an arrow, a gun, and carrying a briefcase.

Plus, Agent Smith is one of the best bad guys I've ever come across.
