I mean, this movie opened in wide release, but has only made 4 million dollars or so? I was thinking this would be somewhat of an action blockbuster...but nooooo. I admit, there have been some bad ones this year. Simone, Undisputed, but this one actually looked somewhat fair.

Why did it do so badly? Why did it never enter the top 10? WHY?

Not enough screens, strange premise, not enough ads, bad reviews...

The film was horrible! I saw it and I pratically fell asleep. The "comedic" scenes were so unfunny and the action scenes were choppily edited and boring. The acting was also weak. The whole film just felt off and I am glad it bombed!

well, it isn't that much of a surprise for me, considering a really while back ago it BOMBED big time in the UK. back then it was called "the 51st state", they even had to change the title for an us release.

Lots of reasons. The film was poorly marketed, although the T.V spots were on T.V quite a few times. The film also got bad word of mouth, and the poor reviews contributed as well.

everyones got it right,im with them....i really thought they should have just put this one STV,but of course just cause of one big actor who's name is slowly but surely lowering down,Samuel L Jackson i mean of course is in it means they think they have a winner on their hands...well then again they think a winner is money not a good film.

Like many flops this year, it tried to be somethig it wasn't. In this case, an action blockbuster with Trainspotting and Pulp Fiction humor

Because it is the most disgusting movie of the year. Because it's unfunny, unthrilling and boring.
Simply because it's VERY bad. And people have other choices of good movies to go see rather than this painfully shitty movie.

i think this formula for making a movie might be getting old or is not being used effectively, since the ultimate movie of its kind pulp fiction not many have been able to pull this technique off by giving us an enjoyable movie to watch the only other movie that i can rememeber to have successfully made me laugh even tough it was violent was Snatch, there hasnt been many. Many good ones that is.

I think the film was marketed wrong plus the trailer wasnt really filling me with excitement, it was the same type trailer as all the action films this year with the same "Click, Click, Boom!" song by Saliva and the plot didnt really get me going.

well ill go against the grain here (ive come to notice me and DH have basically polar opposites in movie opinions!!)

i loved this flick!! i admit i didnt really wanna see it, but i did cuz every1 else wanted to, and it wasnt at all like i had expected, it was funnyy as hell and weird, and just all out good!! i will be picking up the DVD! i think it may find new life on DVD!!

the reason it tanked is pry because this is the type of movie i dont think appelas to every1!

Well the name isn't that good, the concept of S.L.J. in a skirt, knowledge that it bombed in UK, and bad reviews.
