im a fan of the big studio releases but the movies that get me really excited are movies like punch drunk love from the genuis himself pt anderson, from the opening frame my eyes were glued to the screen, i coudlnt stop laughing during the scene where barry's sisters keep calling him, if you had trouble sitting through magnolia pt anderson has cut the dose of his medicine in half so you shouldnt have trouble sitting through this one, if your an adam sandler fan you cant overlook what a perfect part this is for adam sandler to play.its hard to imagine anyone else in the role. if you dont like adam sandler you wont be able to help but like him in this role, i think. pt anderson's unpredictable writing and directing should be enough, i had been craving new pt anderson stuff and now that its here im not at all disappointed, im definetly planning to watch this movie again and maybe a third time, its not often that movies come around that are this good, so i plan to take full advantage of it.
py anderson does some wonderful manipulation with sound effects, theres a scene were pt anderson lets us feel barry's frustration and in another scene his sadness, i dont think i'll see another movie this good this year, next year this should make it on my top ten list of my favorite movies of all time.
