View Full Version : Coen Gift Set????

Now I have been waiting for some sort of announcement that all the Coen Brother's movies will soon be available in a special edition box set or separately. Sadly no such news has been put forth as far as I know. Miller's Crossing and Barton Fink aren't even available on DVD yet, and the DVD's for Raising Arizona, Hudsucker Proxy, Fargo, The Big Lebowski and O Brother need the upgrade. Does anyone know if this is coming along? Also does anyone agree with me that this should happen?

I agree 1000%! It's hard for me to put into words how much I love their films. I'm not sure if there will be a box set anytime soon, but SEs are on the way. Miller's Crossing, Fargo, Barton Fink, and Raising Arizona should be released next year. I wish I could post a link or at least a reference to where I saw this, but I'm pretty sure it was on CHUD. Just do a search in their dvd section, and some info should be up for it. Also, an article on "studio day" at dvdfile.com a while back had some info. I think I'll look around to make sure

And, since you've got the special in with Fox, when are they going to rerelease Raising Arizona and get around to Barton Fink and Miller's Crossing?

The Cohen Brothers Special Editions are on the docket at Fox, but still not on any slated release list. However, I know that Peter (VP of DVD for Fox) is himself personally a huge fan so these will happen at some point.


This was from the CHUD dvd message board, with the answer provided by Q&A man Carl, who seems to know alot of inside people by the sounds of it. So, now we've got the tough part-waiting!

I know for a fact that Raising Arizona is coming out on DVD as a Special Edition from FOX. The others I have no clue.

This news makes me very happy, I just hope they release a SE of Big Lebowski, I want to hear a commentary track for that movie.
