To tell you the truth, I'm not buying music as much as I used to. I go through these kicks. As of right now, I'm on a movie kick. Before that, I was on a music kick. Before that, I was on a comic book kick. I'll pick something up once every month or two. My last CD purchase was Lacuna Coil's In a Reverie. This month, I'll be buying much more music than usual. Opeth's Deliverance, Bloodbath's Resurrection Through Carnage, Pearl Jam's Riot Act, In Flames' The Jester Race (if I can find the fucking thing), and a bunch of other goodies. I might throw in a couple of Foo Fighters discs as well.

I bought In Flame's Reroute To Remain last night and it's another solid effort by the band even though it is very diffrent than typical In Flames. Not quite as good as Clayman but close. Best songs are: System, Trigger and Egonomic

well I shouldn't say much, cause I'm a bit ofa Pearl Jam nut, but its definitely their coolest album.
Most of the tracks are pretty in your face. Getting that really mean-spirited vibe that I thought they had long since lost. Its refreshing to hear them go nuts again! My guess is that with all their more elabotrate side projects, the band wanted to take a really sublte, laid back approach to their last two albums...even Eddie's vocals were off the mark there...Riot Act Definitely hits home..

Thanks for the feedback. I read that Riot Act features more guitar solos than usual, which definitely gets my spirits up. I keep procrastinating, but I'll pick it up in due time.

I hope that's not the newest reissue of Blizzard of Ozz. If it is it's not the original recording. Ozzy (or most likely Sharon) thought it would be a good idea if Ozzy's current bassist and drummer re-record the bass and drum tracks, thereby fucking the original bassist and drummer out of royalties and fucking the fans out of the original recording.
Nice list of the next cds you're buying. I don't like that In Flames though. Carcass and Carnivore fucking rule!

This sounds good. I really like the new song they've been playing on the radio for the last couple of months (can't think of the name though). I'm going to have to get this album.

Missy Elliott-UnderConstruction A solid hip-hop album with some great tunes and awesome beats but not as innovative as "Miss E....So Addictive" and a bit repetitive.
The Rules Of Attraction-Soundtrack An AWESOME soundtrack with some great techno (Tomandandy's rendition of "Carol of The Bells" kicks ass), some nice 80's tunes, some oldies and others. A great CD.

Fu Manchu - The Action Is Go
Fu Manchu - King Of The Road
Sloan - Between The Bridges
Reel Big Fish - Turn The Radio Off
Big Sugar - Hemi-Vision
Manic Street Preachers - The Holy Bible
I thoroughly enjoy all of these albums, not a bad one amongst them all. The one I wasn't sure about was The Holy Bible, but wow, what an album, I wish I was exposed to the Manics before.

I admit that I rarely buy cds, but if they're excellent enough, then I will. MP3s have taken over my life...it's sad. Anyway, the most recent ones are Jack Johnson's Brushfire Fairytales, which I recommend to any fan of acoustic music. Also, the Magnolia Soundtrack. Awesome stuff.

Yes this is a great band. I've seen them live and it's very memorable.
I picked up most recently-Hank Williams III-Broke, Lovesick, and Driftin'.
Amazingly diverse aren't I? Hank III"s albums are so amazing. He does REAL country music. Not the pop crap Nashville is shelling out these days.

Today I bought "Yankee Hotel Foxtrot" by Wilco. I've only listened to it the once and so far I haven't really gotten a handle on it. It is quite different from their previous albums though. I think after a few listens though it'll grab hold and likely not leave my CD player for a couple of weeks. It's been that way with all their albums so far.

picked up the new ramones tribute album last night, we're a happy family.
kinda a let down. some great tracks on here (love the covers by the pretenders, green day, offspring, and rancid), some were bands i had high expectations for that let me down (u2, kiss, metallica, red hot chili peppers) and some i didn't want to hear from at all (marilyn manson).

I'm the complete opposite. I love every track except for the Metallica one. but thats because I have this aversion to Metallica ever since the Napster dispute. The RHCP track was a highlight for me.
I also picked up the We will Fall: Iggy pop tribute cd. It hits and Misses but for the most part I'm pretty satisfied.

That's awesome to find somebody else and this board who appreciates this band. When did you see them live? I saw them open for Morbid Angel and Motorhead.
