As you may know there's an A-Team movie in the works and it appears that Mr.T will not be asked to reprise his role as BA Baracus.
The following petition is asking director Kevin Brodbin and producer Stephen Cannel to reconsider this casting decision.

I signed it. Who is going to play T's role anyways? Samuel Jackson? Ving Rhames? Eddie Griffin?
I kid of course.

Guys, online petitions never work. Out of all the hundreds petitions I've heard of, I've only heard of three successful ones. If that.
It might work if it has tens of thousands of signatures, but even then it's not a gurantee. I remember all the anger when Invader ZIM was cancelled and there was a gigantic online petition with signatures that ran into the hundreds of thousands, if I recall correctly. And it still wasn't successful.

I signed it even though I know online petitions are shit. As much as I love Mr. T..chances are slim he'll get the role.
That's why I think they should go a different direction. This is who should play Baracus...

Gary Coleman
Think about it...he would be the perfect choice because nobody would see it coming. They'd be thinking of a big, tall, muscular dude but then BAM out pops Coleman. He can also work to the A-Teams advantage...he can be easily tossed into an oncoming enemy, plus he can fit perfectly into small or tight corners.

Heh. When I first read the title I thought it said Mr. T&A - Team Movie.
As for this movie, it shouldn't even be made if they can't get the big T to come back.
"Someone drove my van off da road, and I wanna know who was drivin' it!"
Oh, man. That's great stuff.

Diff'rent Strokes episode Mr.T and Mr.t
And he's already expertly trained.
Sign me up. Hannibal, Face, B. A. and Murdock were the best 80's TV cheese ever.

The A-Team wasn't cheesy like how Charlies Angels, Starsky and Hutch, and The Brady Bunch were.
I'm against the idea of an A-Team movie, and won't sign any petition, because I don't want filmmakers to know I'd see this if it came out.
Fuck an A-Team remake. George Peppard is dead, and it wouldn't be right to reprise the character he made.
That was how this show was so different than all of the other remakes is because the actors are what MADE the show. Charlies Angels worked because they had hot chicks in tight outfits, Starsky & Hutch worked because they had the car, and A-Team movie WON't work because they don't have the 4 coolest mofos ever to ride in a black Chevy van with a red stripe and red spoiler.
Come on everyone! sing the theme!
Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam! Bam!

I agree with Bubba George Peppard was the A Team's most irreplaceable member.
He was one suave mofo & I can't think of any actor who could step into his shoes.
The thought of someone like Mel Gibson gurning away as Hannibal is unthinkable.

Is there link one can sign to NOT make an A-Team movie?
Ving should be B.A if they go forward with this mess anyway.

George Peppard was the MAN! They shouldn't even think about remaking this without him. That would be like making a Banacek remake.:D
Seinfeld quote: George talking to Jerry about his upcoming meeting with Jerry Lewis...
"You already have an in, you have the same first name"
"Well it worked for me when I met Goerge Peppard"
"Goerge Peppard's been dead for years!"
"Well whoever that guy was he sure knew alot about the A-Team":D

This is really messed up. The fact that Joblo himself is posting about it on his front page irks me. The problem is not that the filmmakers are opting to replace Mr. T's character from the show with a different actor. The problem is that they are making a movie about now.
It's too late to do a movie spinoff. As a schmoe said above, one of the original A-Team members, George Peppard, is dead. You can't have a movie with three of the main guys (now older, too), and a "replacement." It just won't be the same.
And even if they cast Mr. T back in his role, how's he going to look grouped with a different, younger cast (assuming that the filmmakers want to replace all the characters)? It would be pointless. Sure, we'd have the same badass actor playing the badass character, but it wouldn't sit well with the rest of the characters.
And even with the two other original members that are still alive, there's still the problem of "replacing" George Peppard. Face it, it is too late to do a movie spinoff of this show. This was a great show, but there are plenty of other classic TV shows for Hollywood to pick on, in order to cover up their lack of original ideas.
