I have Snatch on Superbit Deluxe. It's cool, but I once rented Panic Room on a Superbit edition, it sucked. I'm not talking about the movie but the dics, sure the video was clear but I didn't notice much of a difference from many other DVDs in my collection. If you want to buy a Superbit, first check to see if it's deluxe and if it is check if it's the same extras as the regular version (if you can find it) my experience was that they're expensive.

If you are gonna get a SuperBit, Wait till the RESIDENT EVIL SuperBit on December 17. That movie will kick ass in DTS!

only consider buying superbit if you watch DVDs on a none-regular size screen, we're talking HDTV, projector or plasma, the thing is NTSC TVs can only display about 350 lines of resolution anyway so superbit is a bit pointless if your watching on a bog standard TV.

I have a 36" ws panasonic TAU HDTV and Superbits look much much better than some of the dvds out there, they sound also kicks in DTS, even Bram Stoker's Dracula, which isn't the most sound heavy films sounds sweet, the bass kicks in when necassary and it just gives an all around better sound. Recommended for video enthusiasts only, if you don't care about the quality then don't worry about it.

Also, are Superbit DVD compatible with all DVD players?

Should your DVD player have a "Superbit" logo on it?

superbit dvds are dvds that do away with all the extra features in favour of audio and video,if their are no extras,it frees up space on the disc which can be used for even better a/v..in most cases superbit dvds come with d.t.s and DD 5.1 and thats it(you might get subtitles, not to sure...i'm sure someone could post an answer to that one) .Columbia tristar have a website dedicated to them.......www.superbit.co.uk maybe .com in america, there are not to many titles out just now..more and more appear however...i just havn't got around to buying any yet.
