I once knew a guy who referred to all horror movies as "scream" films. Then along came a film named 'Scream.'

It kind of depends on what your definition of a "scream fan" is: a fan of horror movies, or a fan of the movie 'Scream.'

Well, whatever the case, the answer at my end is "yes!"

I hate most horror movies, but I love the Scream movies (except the second, that one was just OK).

i love all the scream movies and most horrors, its a shame that this genre brings with it tripe like 'i know what you did last summer'(bad enough without a sequel), i reckon too many horror movies stink, i tend to stick to the classics such as the halloweens, childs play etc

I'm sorry but Scream 3 bit the big one. It was really sad to see such a bad movie follow two very decent movies.

SCREAM (7.5/10)
SCREAM 2 (7.5/10)
SCREAM 3 (6/10)

PERSONALLY I DON'T THINK I LOVE 1 AS MUCH AS MOST PEOPLE OR HATED 3 AS MUCH AS MOST PEOPLE AND AM IN A SILENT MINORITY OF PEOPLE WHO THOUGHT 2 WAS EITHER THE BEST OF THEM OR LEAST EQUAL TO 1 BUT THATS JUST MY HUMBLE OPINION.

That's my man Quentin. We, defenders of Scream 2, are a small band. It was by far my favorite of the three.

I look at the Scream trilogy in the means in which I think it was suppossed to be taken. As a spoof, not as a horror flick. The first one spoofed horror films in general, while the second one was absolutely brilliant, in my opinion, by spoofing the first film. The third was by far the weakest as it tried to take on a life of its own and suffered from the lack of Kevin Williamson.

Well, for a spoof Scream 2 didn't have a lot of laughs... didn't have any laughs actually. I certainly don't think it was brilliant. And don't tell me I didn't get the joke, cause the joke was so obvious, it wasn't funny. It started out great - the Stab movie was priceless, but after that it turned into your usuall slasher crap. See, what was so great about Scream, was the characters, the awesome whodunnit, and the great ending. On the other hand, Scream 2 has none of those things. It's an OK movie, still.

Well said.Too many movie fans are like "It's not a good horror movie" but they forget (or maybe their tiny little minds just can't comprehend) that it IS only a spoof, which WAS the way it was intended.I think the first film was the best of the 3-very entertaining.Did u notice the janitor called Fred(just before the principal buys it) is wearing a Freddy Kreuger sweater??

leel00-- did you notice that said janitor named Fred wearing the Kruguer sweater was actually played by Wes Craven?

Even though the opening sequence of the first was the best the second one was my favorite. Although the first one was a pretty good movie. I'm sorry but Scream 3 sucked a lot. I do mean a lot.

I've got a confession to make...

Scream 3 has been out for ages now and I still haven't seen it. I doubt I will any time soon either.

Scream 1 and 2 were ok. I thought Scream 2 didn't bite the bad one as much as some people say, although I could see they were running short of ideas in places. Still loved the musical changes with Dewey's entrances. The injokes and spoofing is what it's all about! I wouldn't really recommend doing it in every Scream film though!

Did you guys know that the Dewey theme used in part 2 was actually used in another movie before. That groovy twang was used in Broken Arrow with Travolta and Slater directed by John Woo.

When I first saw Scream 2, the Dewey them bothered me cause I remembered it from Broken Arrow. To me it's the Travolta theme...sorry Dewey...

Yeah I want to see it so badly but everyone in my family are freakin chickens! They wont let me see it cause they're too scared for 1 thing. And I'm underage so I cant get in to see it. Is there ANY POSSIBLE way to get into seeing that movie without my parents???

Well slap my thigh and call me bobby!I did not notice that but thanks for pointing it out PB.That piece of info has brightened up my dismal day no end.In Scream2 Sid opens up her wardrobe and there's a big striped sweater hanging on the door too.Not really a fashion-must so probably an in-joke.funny.

The guitar twang for Dewey's entrances are cool. I haven't seen Broken Arrow properly, that is, sat down and watched it properly. I think I must have been doing some art or writing during the film so missed that little lick in there.

Cool idea. My friend suggested that we put entrance jingles or hooks for certain characters in our film. Unfortunately the Scream guys got there first. I'll never forgive them for that /ubb/rolleyes.gif

They probably ripped it, or payed homage to another movie. Can you think of any other movies where they do those entrance twangs? It doesn't matter anyway because we're going to use it in ours! What bothers me is that it is a horror movie and they're gonna pick up on that and compare us with the Scream movies. Arghhhhh!

I LOVE the Scream Trilogy. #1 is one of the best modern horror flicks of all time in my book. #2 was also and excellent sequel - regardless of what people may say. The opening scene in part 2 was descent. It didn't live up to Casey's death in the first, but it still was very good. The core of the movie was also great: Gale's character grew a little, the entire car scene was the absolute best, the pole in the officers head was a great death, Cici's and others murders were well planned and had great atmosphere and motive. The movie was only considered weak because having someone's mother as the killer is real lame - other than who the murderers were, even the final showdown was Scream worthy - c'mon people give 'em a break it was a good sequel compared to some of the lame a$$ ones out there. #3 I enjoyed very much, even though the killer was a little bit of a stretch. Once he explained his motives I did think it was more believable than at first glance. The clever lingo and relationships between the "real life" victims and their Stab 3 counterparts was very enjoyable. The fax death and house blow up scene was excellent. The mansion was a little lame but I got used to it and did think it was a good setting after a while. The one other thing I have to say is that there were two people I was so mad when they were killed. They were funny characters, played off of the others well and were legitiment co-stars and I WAS SO PISSED WHEN THEY WERE KILLED. Wes, you're an excellent director. Kev, great writer, love your stuff, but WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH KILLING OFF RANDY AND PARKER POSEY!!!!!!!!!???????????? Anywaze, I love the Scream series and its characters - I mean could Courteney Cox Arquette get any hotter as each film was released - DAMN!!!

The best part of Scream 3, was the bodyguard guy who kept making fun of Dewey. That was a riot. He was the guy who played Elaine's boyfriend on Seinfeld, and he was perfect for that little role. Also the Jay and Silent Bob scene was good too. I think it would have made more sense for them to be the killers. More of a motive.

I loved Scream 3. It was far and away my favourite. I like the fact that it was not just a normal sequel but "the concluding part..of a trilogy" where all rules set before do not apply.
I liked Scott Foley, I thought he played the Roman Bridger part really well. I loved the twist aswell; definitely didn't see that one comin!!!

Wow. Talk about old threads. I really dig the first film. Very cool. The second one had some good moments, but was otherwise unimpressive. Scream 3 was just a mad doctor's experiment gone wrong.

I think I liked 2 the best out of all 3 films. To me it was exactly what a sequel SHOULD be: a continuation of the original that still maintained its scare factor as well as give a story that raised the predecessor. The characters were all neat (if not a TAD underdeveloped~Hallie & Mickey), and the new situation set-ups had me on the edge of my seat (the killer sneaking into the soroity house unbeknownst to Cici; Hallie and Sidney trapped in the police car; the movie theatre full of could-be killers). I'd give SCREAM 2 4/5.

the best thing about those movies were Courtney Cox as the bitch, and Dewey as the whiny guy. SCREAM was good because Tatum, ohhhhhh boy, she was great. Slutty, but she had a perfect chest. Neve Cambell was everyones "favorite little victim" and that got weaker and weaker. Cotton was decent, Joel the camera man was decent, and Kenny, that was hilarious when he was fascinated by that cheezie in part 1.
