I've been thinking about getting this game, but wanted to know if it was worth the price, or if there are any worthier games (although games like Vice City, MGS2:S, Splinter Cell, MK:DA, and Hitman 2 don't count since I'm getting those for X-mas)

(If it needs to be moved, move it, but since it has to do w/ LOTR, I figured I might as well get opinions from the fans)

the game is sweet. you can play as LEGOLAS, ARAGON, GIMLI, and the secret character is ISILDUR. Legolas is fast but a little weak, gilmli is slow but strong, and aragon is a mix of the two.
I would compare this game to DYNASTY WARRIORS/FINAL FIGHT for PS2 but with better graphics. but is it worth the price??? it depends on you. I got to the last level is around 1 hour. didn't take very long. but if i had the money i would buy it.

The only flaw I found with it is the same one Conger mentioned above: it's too damn short. Barring that, it's highly recommended.

I do not have PS2, but my buddy does and I saw the game. It looks pretty cool. He was playing as Gimli and it looked like it had damn good graphics. I think the FOTR game looks better, though.

I just got back from Blockbuster and rented the game (tried to rent Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, but they carded me) and it's pretty good so far. I'm on the Gates to Moria level and it's just plain fun to kill Orcs. I'm a little cautious about playing the levels depicted in Two Towers, since I've never read the book and don't want to be spoiled for the whole story.

Oh, and that FOTR game, it actually sucks ass. It has a rushed feel to it, and I gave up playing it the first night cause it wasn't fun.

I just got it yesterday and it is just whole lot of fun. Some people might say it's too short but there's always that option of perfecting the missions and highering your level even more the next time around. I only got to the gates of moria right now and can't wait to go home to try some more. I am immensely happy with it. I might just go and rent the fellowship one. I didn't hear any good reviews for that one anyways.

...if you think you can hold out until you see the film, I would highly advise that you do so. You probably won't have anything MAJOR spoiled for you, but than again, I have yet to play the game, so I can't be sure. And yes, the FotR game - it sucks big, floppy, donkey dick. Can't wait to get this game, though.

well, they give a little bit of the story away in the game. you see some movie footage from THE TWO TOWERS, but nothing really bad and that I would say spoils the movie.

I beat the game, and have unlocked everything. It's a fun game, but I'm glad I didn't buy it since it's so short, even when unlocking everything. But I learned from the sloppy storytelling of the game that I wasn't all that spoiled. I knew about Helm's Deep, and the battle that ensued, and Gandalf the White, since they showed him in the ads (and is in the cast list at the IMDB). But I have to say my favorite levels are the ones that deal w/ the Two Towers, mainly the first HD level, and the one where u have to stop the bombs from going off :D

I shall be getting the game for Chrismas cause i wana see the film first then maybe the levels in the game will mean more. I know there are levels from the first film but i wouldn't trust myself to stop playing.

I saw Two Towers last night and noticed something. When you beat "Hornberg" there's a short scene after the war of Gandalf telling Aragorn that Sauramon fears him. This scene wasn't in TTT, so could this be from Return of the King?

I got the game for X-mas, and I think it is a great game. But I am surprised that you have to do the FOTR too. After all it does say, The Two Towers. But overall, a wicked game.
