To be honest, I really didn't want to see this movie(my girlfriend wanted to go, so I had to take her). I mean the trailor made it look like the most predictable movie ever. Eminem is a white kid living in a black world. He wants to be accepted by his rapping peers. Fails once, but then bounces back and defies all the odds against him. Wow, didn't see that finale coming. Eminem's acting was subpar. I mean the character that hes playing has no likable qualities. Now when I watch a movie I have to have some connection or at least have something that I like about the character. His character basically just feels sorry for himself for the whole movie. Basically I didn't like the character which in turn made me not like the movie. Now Brittany Murphy's role(if u want to call it that) was just pointless. I didn't feel any chemistry between the two characters. They meet one day, then the next they're doing it at his factory job in the middle of the day. It just seemed forced. And her "lubing up Eminem" totally caught me off guard(made me laugh though). Let me say this though, I don't think Brittany Murphy is all that hot. Shes more trashy than she is hot. I've always thought that. I do think that Mekhi Phiefer did a good job with his role. Although whoever had the idea to give him that horrible wig was a complete idiot. Looked like crap. The movie duration also seemed drawn out. I checked my watch like 4 times. Anyway on a scale of 1 to 10........WarriorJoe gives it a 4. Don't belive all the MTV ass kissing of this movie.
