I don't have the Top 20 this week, but by the ned of the week i will have it, so today here's the Top 10 for the weekend 7th - 10th November 2002.
(1) (1) MY BIG FAT GREEK WEDDING
(2) (Debut) CRACKERJACK
(3) (2) RED DRAGON
(4) (Debut) K-19
(5) (3) BLURRED
(6) (4) THE TRANSPORTER
(7) (5) MURDER BY NUMBERS
(8) (7) THE BOURNE IDENTITY
(9) (Preview Screenings) THE RING
(10) (8) ROAD TO PERDITION
Well WEDDING still has the Number 1 spot after 4 consecutive weeks. It's the first film of the year to hold the top spot for 4 consecutive weeks, however it's the second film to have 4 weeks at number 1 following OCEAN'S ELEVEN in January which had 3 consecutive weeks than one week off, before returning. CRACKERJACK, which debuted at 6 last week on its Preview Screenings, has unfortunately scored a 2 position. The comedy, and I learn the term losely, has been receiving good reviews but it still looks terribly unfunny and a film i refuse to see. If there is a god it will drop out of the charts quickly. RED DRAGON dropped one whilst last weeks 3 new entries all simultaneously dropped 2 places. K-19 with Harrison Ford had an impressive debut at 4 whilst the horror flick THE RING made it an number 9 on preview screenings. Unfortunately I missed the screenings due to commitments and the fact that it had terrible times, like one a day for 2 days.
THIS WEEK: The Clint Eastwood thriller BLOOD WORK, the sex comedy THE GURU with Heather Graham and Marisa Tomei and the highly anticipated horror flick THE RING with Aussie hottie Naomi Watts.
I have also heard that LORD OF THE RINGS will be re-relased for a brief period of time to celebrate the new extended DVD edition as well as the second film, THE TWO TOWERS. The Robin Williams thriller ONE HOUR PHOTO could also be released this week, but i'm not sure. I do know the above three are definite.
Be back next week.
