And in one of the books somethiung tradgic happens, somebody close dies but it was meant to be. she says
Now I think it might be Ron or Hermione
I dont want to see either one of them go but hey like JK says its meant to be.

I always have thought, and I always will think (until of course I read it) that Hagrid is the one who will unfortuantely die.

Lexell - are you sure Rowling said that ALL SEVEN books are complete? I was under
the impression that the final chapter of book 5 has been completed and is undergoing
some minor tweaking. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that Rowling has a basic
outline of what happens in the next couple of books - but she is nowhere NEAR beginning
work on book six. Here's a news clip:

Fifth 'Harry Potter' Book Not Ready
Wed Nov 13, 3:36 PM ET

LONDON (AP) - Legions of Harry Potter (news - web sites) fans waiting eagerly for
the boy wizard's fifth adventure will have to make do, for now, with revisiting earlier
installments in print and on film.

No release date for "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" has been set, the office
of Christopher Little, author J.K. Rowling's agent said Wednesday. "Harry Potter and
the Chamber of Secrets," the second movie in the series, opens Friday.

The first Harry Potter book, published in 1997, was "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's
Stone" — released in the United States as "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone." The
second and third volumes followed over the next two years, and the fourth, the mammoth
"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," appeared in July 2000.

This naturally raised hopes that the fifth would follow at the same rate. But alas, two
summers have passed without a sign of Harry and his magic pals reappearing.

A year ago, Rowling wrote a letter to The Scotsman newspaper insisting she was
not suffering from writer's block and that there had been no intention of publishing
book five in 2001.

In September, after a U.S. federal court rejected claims by an American author that
Rowling had stolen ideas from her own children's books, Rowling said the stress
of the lawsuit had hindered her progress on the fifth book.

Rowling said in a British Broadcasting Corp. television interview that much of "Harry
Potter and the Order of the Phoenix," was written, but declined to say when it would
be ready for publication.

"There's a lot of book done. That's all I want to say, because if I give it a date and
then I pass it everyone will be upset," she said. "I know a lot of Harry Potter fans will
say, 'Just to give it to us.' But I'm a perfectionist and I want a bit more of a tweak."

The author, who married 31-year-old anesthetist Neil Murray last year, is expecting
a baby. She has a 9-year-old daughter, Jessica, from her previous marriage.

Never has J.K. Rowling said this and she has actually said she does not have every detail planned out on book six and seven. Lets keep the facts correct.

I wouldn't be surprised if Hagrid got fried. And of course, I'm starting to think Harry might sacrifice himself at the end of BOOK SEVEN to save everyone.

Well I think Harry will die. He could be connected to The one who must not be named and must have to die. That's the impression I am getting so far. Or maybe Rowling will pull of a Star Wars and have everyone die, except for a few lucky one's.

She does not have the books done. But I think she has written parts of it most likely. I watched the Bio on A&E too.

I think that the book series will end with Harry sacrificing himself and saving everyone.
I also think that Hagrid will get killed in book 5.

I believe J.K. has mentioned in past interviews/chats that Ron and Hermione are NOT going to die in the books.

*SPOILER ALERT*

I happen to believe that the person who MAY die in Book Five is none other than Professor Lupin. In chapter 33, page 649, Wormtail gets a silver hand as a replacement for the hand he amputated to bring Lord Voldemort to life. Lupin is a werewolf. What kills werewolves? SILVER!!!!
