In 1986, Ridely Scott had directed a fantasy opus with Tom Cruise and Tim Curry. With some excellent make-up effects created by Rob Bottin...love that Lord Darkness make-up! This film is pretty cool and I remember seeing it the theatre and it just blew me away. The ending though was a bit of a let down, IMO. I aso liked the swamp living Meg Bucklebones.

Heck yeah, it's an awesome movie. Been quite a while since I have seen it, but I remember it totally ruled. Has some great atmosphere, a good score, and an awesome villian in Tim Curry. There's already a thread on page 2 of past horror, with many replies. Check it out and see. It's titled "Legend (1985) does this film rock or what?" Later!

Excellent film, that. Mia Sara is particularly stunning in (what I think was) her debut role.

I had a really cool discussion about this flick a while back and boy was it a good thread Im trying to find it but the "search" option has been disabeled for some reason...but it was an excellent in depth thread in wich we discussed all the little details of this mega cool, epic.

Youve seen the DVD Gravedigger? It kicks major ass, it has everything you could possibly want to know about this flick...and a little more...:D

Like for example: it has some really cool story boards of an alternate ending in wich the unicorns were the ones who originally killed darkness, by stabbin him with their own horns..and a scene in which Lilly turns into some sort of cat creature...cool stuff.:D
