Hey, gang. This is a really old thread of mine that I was thinking about again the other day. I'm too lazy to dig it up out of the forum's archives, so here it is again.
We all like our horror movies to push boundaries, right? However, is there anything that would be way too much in a movie, even for us? For me, I'd think the top three would be onscreen depictions of:
Child molestation
Bestiality
Necrophilia
What do you all think?

Any form of paedophilia. I like my horror, but not enough to sit through a scene where a child is molested/injured.
That, and rape. As a female, I've got a phobia about rape, and quite often in films it's used for gratuitous shock value rather than being integral to the plot.

I'm with Feyd on the whole rape thing. I can't STAND rape scenes. While nothing so horrible has ever happened to me, I can completely identify with how awful it is, and seeing as it happens pretty much every minute of every day, it does not make an enjoyable movie-going experience.
I also don't like any pedophilia/child molestation.
Basically, I don't like any violence that seems too real to me. I love horror films, but the ones that hit too close to home are not for me. The violence that is prtrayed in the film KILLING ZOE is a good example of what I CANNOT watch.
Stupid charactors doing STUPID things we would NEVER do in a similar situation. ie; Jeepers Creepers
Plotholes a MILE WIDE.

pedaphilia or any abuse of little kids. as much as i love the first toxic avenger, i dont beleive the kid getting run over should be in the movie.
wife beating, i do not want to see a man hit a women. ever. period.
rape, i watced last house on the left again after a couple years since i saw it the first time. i dont wanna see things like that again.
real deaths of any living things- just has no place in entertainment. animals shouldnt die for our entertainment ever. (i've gone through the time of watching things like cannibal ferox, but never again. cant stomach that shit now. i will never ever watch cannibal holocaust)
there are other little dumb things that i dont like in horror, but those things i mentioned genuinly bother me.
