Did anybody notice the lack of play recently for Friday the 13th films?

When I was a little younger every friday the 13th at least 3 stations would put on a F13 marathon and now youd be lucky to find one movie on for that day...anybody notice this? explanations?


(By the way Im back guys, I took about a 5 month break if anybody remembers me)

welcome back! and yes...the only time they ever have a Friday the 13th marathon is on Halloween. When they have the Halloween Marathons.
Maybe its because back in the 80's, slashers were kings. But today, post-scream, they are looked down upon so nobody thinks its worth to buy all the rights to air them. just my 2 cents.

Hey, Evildead..!! its so great to see schmoes come back after a long break from the boards.

I've NEVER heard of a friday marathon on for friday the 13th.. My guess is that its kinda dated now and people reallly dont want to sit through it anymore. (cept for us schmoes, of course.).
the ONLY televised friday marathon I've ever seen was on this halloween...and it came as a huge suprise to me... 'course it was TERRIBLY edited and most of my favorite scenes g0t chopped out.

I dont think I could watch all 9 movies. I might be friggin insane but damnit, that goes too far.

I do like some of the movies, Its just most of them are the same thing, plus the fact I just cant watch more then 3 movies in a row.

That is probably the main reason, but a moviepix (a Canadian AMC) aired 2 a night for a whole week in the summer, uncut and commerical free.(I caught part 4 and 6).
