ok, usually anything with "Wes Craven" attached to the title isnt my cup of soup. Mindripper anyone...? but I just saw this flick and man o man was it IMPRESSIVE!!! How much gore did this thing have? some FANTASTIC gore in this one. I loved the story and and i think this is a hidden gem (no pun intended.)
It had so many elements from other flicks...Elm Street, Hellraiser, even Jason...And it got me one TWO "boo" scares..i didnt think id ever fall for one again but this one got me twice!
overall i have to give this one a 10/10 on the horroh scale...kane hodder, tony todd, robert england all wrapped into one impressive movie!
sweet!

I was REALLY trying to avoid Wishmaster for a long time. Remember the recent strain of terrible horror movies with really killer covers? well I was fooled by that too many times, so I decided to take a stand:
To defend all that is virtuous and true and to stand up for everything a good horror movie shoud be!! (Just call me super schmoes....but only by night. During the day I'm a mild mannered reporter.)
So about a month ago, after completely giving up on all of those "Morals" that everybody's been talkin' about(and retired my cape..), I rented the GD thing. nd I must say that it wasn't all that bad, really. Besides that crazy computer stuff that so popular nowadays, there was some pretty good rubber.
~~And I've managed to maintain a teensy shred of dignity by holding out on the sequals. As tempting as they may seem.

Yeah...I was also very impressed with this movie. The gore scenes were well done and the story was not that bad. But like gorysnoopy said....Please...I beg you...stay AWAY from the sequals. Don't even waste your time on them.

If only the sequels could've maintained that same level of b-movie quality. The original Wishmaster is oodles of bloody fun. Come back to the series, Divoff! It needs you severely!

I love this movie! It was totally reminiscent of the 80's flicks. Love the art galley slaughter: "Oh ______, you see right thru me"-lady turns to glass, explodes~cool shit.

WISHMASTER is one of the dumbest horror movies I have ever seen.
There were parts in it that had me laughing so hard I felt like I was gonna puke. Don't get me wrong, I love horror movies as much as the next person, but I also know a wack one when I see it. WISHMASTER SUCKS!!!!!
