I will include my full predictions chart later on when this weekends final numbers are released.

Anywho....

Die Another Day , I am certain will be BIG! It should no doubt have the biggest opening for a Bond film ever and have a stellar second place showing. Buzz is great for the latest Bond flick as early screenings have stated that this is the Best Bond yet. MGM/UA will be going all out with this puppy....I assume it'll be opening in at least 3000 theatres. Look for Die Another Day to gross between $42-$46 million.

Friday After Next should also play very well. Friday was a sleeper hit and its first sequel, Next Friday was a low budget smash, grossing more than $50 million at the Box Office, twice the gross of its predecessor. This flick has a built in audience, much like the Bond films and it should make a hefty sum of dinero this weekend. I predict between $18 and $22 million smacks for the latest Ice Cube effort.

The Emperors Club is an iffy. I have no clue at how well itll play out. The Marketing of the flick has been dull, however, it is the only "family" (if you can say that) drama out there right now in wide release. I'm going out on a limb and predicting between $4 and $6 million for the flick, but it could do more or less...who really knows......

This weeked is the war of the British people. In one corner is a young British wizard who faces dark forces at a magic school. In the other corner is a suave British secret agent with cool gadgets and an Aston Martin. And what ever way it goes John Cleese will be at the top of the box office.

Harry Potter- This will drop only a small bit. There is good word-of-mouth and there will be repeat viewings. I see it doing just as well next weekend. I predict a weeked amount of 65 million.

Die Another Day- This will come in second at the box office. It will do well, but not as well as Harry Potter. I predict 46 million.

The Emperor's Club- This will attract an older audience and should do very well. I predict 9 million opening.

Friday After Next- This film will do well also. The first ones were low budget hits and this one should do no different. I see a 17 million opening and a third place showing.

I don't see DIE ANOTHER DAY doing as good as you all are saying. It could, but all of the Bond films starring Peirce Brosnan have grossed about $25-30 million. I think DIE ANOTHER DAY will gross somewhere in the mid-to-upper $30 million range.

While I'm a huge Bond fan, and I'd like to see it beat Harry Potter and hit $50 million, I have to be realistic.

However, good trailers and TV spots, incredible word-of-mouth (such as 5-star advance reviews), a longer-than-usual waiting period since the last Bond film, and Halle Berry's presence will push Die Another Day to the highest opening weekend ever for a 007 movie.

8 Mile will be hit hard by Friday After Next, maybe DAD, and surprisingly, The Emperor's Club (the adult, mostly-Curtis Hanson fan segment) as well. Half Past Dead, which opened with $8.2 million this past weekend, will also get slammed by DAD and FAN.

1. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets - $54.8 million
2. Die Another Day - $44.7 million
3. 8 Mile - $15.2 million
4. Friday After Next - $14.1 million
5. The Santa Clause - $11.3 million
6. The Ring - $9.1 million
7. The Emperor's Club - $8.7 million
8. My Big Fat Greek Wedding - $3.9 million
9. Half Past Dead - $3.8 million
10. Jackass - $3.1 million

Here's how I think it's going to look:

1) Harry Potter/Chamber of Secrets: 64 Million
2) Die Another Day: 46 Million
3) Friday After Next: 22 Million

There's no way Harry Potter will drop below 50 Million it's second week. Die Another Day will shatter the previous Bond film's opening day record... I would be surprised if it made below 40 Million. Friday After Next will click in at 3rd, with 20-25 million.

The Friday estimates are in and suprisingly Die Another Day is at number one with $15 million. Chamber of Secrets is number two with $10 million and Friday After Next at number three with $ four million. This means that the weekend box office will look something like this: Die Another Day: $40 million, Harry Potter 2: $35 million and Friday After Next: $13 million.

Harry Potter 2 only made $10 million on Friday. There is no way it can make $54 million this weekend.
