I've been searching for it for a longggg time on DVD and so far no dice. I think it was released at one point in Europe on DVD but the distribution got dis-continued. I know that Anchor Bay on planning on releasing it eventually, I dont when. I can't wait though cause it's one hell of a movie.

Quite the Movie.

It took me about half a year to track it down After I saw about fifteen minutes of it on TV one night (it was on showcase during Halloween week. They played Nekromantic too, but I couldn't stay up to watch it http://www.joblo.com/ubb/mad.gif damn school )

I'm suprised that after this was released there was no influx of those arty horror movies....or even an influx of Zombie movies, for that matter. This movie should've completely revolutionized the genre.

Besides an exceptional screenplay and an incredible comcept, the acting was superb for an italian movie!! Everett kicked some MAJOR ass in this movie

It's available on an Italian import dvd. It's region 2 PAL format though, under it's original title Dellamorte Dellamore.

I didn't really like this film all that much when I saw it. All those silly lights buzzing around all the time.
I'm gonna give it another go tho 'cause I can't remember much of it.
It's quite surreal isn't it?

It's surreal to the fullest. I love all of the bizarre, quirky imagery that is crammed into Cemetery Man's running time.

I think those lights are supposed to be a real Phenomenon,it's called Ignis Fatuus.

If you like this film, check out Denti.I haven't seen it yet but the buzz from Italy, and a couple of Fil Festivals,is that it's similar to DD with regards to it's heavy use of symbolism.

"Huh,they thought their whole life was ahead of them, but in fact it had already passed them by"

"We're going to need some more dum dum bullets"

"You'll be free to see what the rest of the world looks like","What does the rest of the world look like?","Who knows if the rest of the world even exists"

"Where will you go,if you still don't yet understand the difference between life and me?"

"Death, death, death comes sweeping down.Filthy death the leering clown.Death on wings, death by surprise, veiling evil from worldly eyes.Death that's born as life succumbs, while death and love, two kindred drums, beat the time til judgement day,an actor in a passion play, without beginning, without end, evermore amen.

Some of these i paraphrased,i think they sound a little better the way i imagined them, but last one is word for word.

Another can't go wrong pick is Croupier. It may be a stretch to say this, but it reminds me of Cemetery Man in a Casino.Don't ask, just watch it and you'll see. It's not a horror film though, but it features some memorable quotes from the world weary, cynical lead Clive Owen.

Other dvd versions of DD.Spanish import region 2 under the name Mi novia un es Zombie(my girlfriend is a zombie).

Region 2 PAL from Germany(the Red Edition).

The one i have is the best it's ever looked,so if you want the best version,i would get the italian import,or wait for Anchor Bay.The picture is becoming too popular to ignore,so someone will have to offer an US dvd version eventually.I hope they use this pic for the cover:

For those who are interested, Bloody-Disgusting reports:

"Thanks to Anchor Bay one of the best zombie films I've ever seen is finally coming to DVD on June 13th, 2006, according to Dread Central. The 1994 zombie-pic Cemetery Man (Dellamorte Dellamore), which stars Anna Falchi (one of the hottest babes to ever grace the big screen), follows a cemetery man who must kill the dead a second time when they become zombies. Directed by Michele Soavi, the film stars Rupert Everett as the cemtery man."

Am I the only one who absolutely hates this movie being called Cemetary Man?! The Italian title, Dellamorte Dellamore, is perfect, and has so much meaning to it in regard to the film. Cemetary Man is just dumb sounding.

Anybody who cannot appreciate the elegance of the original title probably won't appreciate a movie this artsy anyway, so there's really no reason to change it for English speaking audiences.

I have always and will always refer to this movie as Dellamorte Dellamore.
