Picked it up recently, and haven't been able to find anyone whose seen it.

Based on the box art alone and the time period it was obviously from, I made the assumption that it might be a fun little slasher.

But I have been fooled before...I watched Slaughter High and it made me want to vomit, eat my vomit, vomit it back up again and then shoot myself in the head. I couldn't stand it. I like CHEESY, but not BAD.

Anyways, anyone seen this? Thoughts would be very appreciated.

SPLATTER UNIVERSITY is an okay Troma flick. Of course, it's filled with tons of cheesy acting and dialogue, but it's not something would make you want to "vomit." There is an interesting plot twist, that I rather enjoyed.

By the way, why such harsh words about SLAUGHTER HIGH? I love this one. Have seen it many times (originally on Joe Bob Briggs' say-so) and I believe it's still able to stand up there with other classic 80s slasher flicks. Thumbs up, in my book.

"Heeeeeeeeeere's Marty!"

Uggg...that movie made me want to stab my eyes out.

It was horrible, had like 20 penis shots, and even stole the score during the final sequence from Friday the 13th Part V. Dont' believe me? Go listen to them back to back and I garuntee they will sync up.

Anyways, In my opinion there was no redeeming qualities to this horrible flick.

Yeah it sucked and all, but I laughed my ass off during Scream 2 when Randy is on the phone with the killer, and he mentions Splatter University as a favorite scary movie.

I loved it myself. It is repulsively low-budget filmmaking a it's best. Very funny film. Lots of cheap, unconvincing gore, hideous acting, ridiculous dialogue, bad music - the stuff I live for! Y'know, Slaughter High & Splatter U would make a great school-slasher double-bill.

I'm afraid you won't like it, though. At all.

Haha, the double feature. High school and then college. I prefer the high school side with Slaughter High, "Here's Marty....!"

I didn't enjoy Splatter University. It was too fake and the acting was horrible. But if you're into cheesy films, then I'd recommend it to you!

I loved Horror High. It was funny, and the death with the electric bed was great!
