Hey Psychopath....welcome to the board!

'Terror Train' is one of my all-time favorite slasher flicks.
Good atmosphere (just about the whole flick takes place on a creepy train) and decent acting (I looooooooove Jamie Lee!).

The story is pretty simple.....a group of medical student have a costumed graduation party aboard a traveling train. Thing is....an ex-med student who has spent time in a mental institution for a frat prank (set-up by some of the students on the train) may or may not be the psycho-with-a-scary-mask......or it could be the brooding magician (played by David Copperfield) whom nobody knows who hired him for the party.

If you're not paying REAL close attention, the killer's revelation at the end comes as a "guilty pleasure" surprise.

Enjoy!

I am not much for giving reviews, but this is a movie worth watching and the ending is quite good. You can see a young Vanity in this movie she no longer acts since she found the lord.:p

Some good deaths, overemotinal chicks and David Copperfield.

For once the photography is more than good, it is outstanding !!
The director of photography worked with Kubrik !!!!!!
There is some good atmosphere with this little trip during the winter.
Very good settin, too because u cannot escape from a running train.
It was good to see Copperfield playing a ..... magician, too.
The film is not very gory but it is never boring and it has style and substance, like that.
Certainly one of the best slashers from the early 80's.
Spotiswood did a great job ( Tomorow Never Dies )

"Terror Train," eh you could do worse. The killer donning each of his victim's costumes was a novel idea. I dug that. Not a personal fav among the early 80's slasher boom, but better than "Prom Night," which also starred Jamie Lee.

I'm not good at giving reviews but I can say that this is a decent early 80's slasher flick with Jaimie Lee Curtis. The train corridors are pretty creepy at times! The climax is pretty eerie, at times!

i saw this movie a long time ago, but i remember it being a pretty solid 80s slasher flick. jamie lee curtis is good as usual, the whole "train" thing lends creepy ambiance, and the killer is pretty cool. not the greatest or most original, but you could do a lot worse.

I really liked the idea for Terror Train, a murderer onboard a train killing the passengers, they're half way through their journey with no stops. Sadly it turned out to be just a general slasher, a silly setup, hollow characters, some poor acting, disappointing deaths and a letdown of an ending. Still it kept me watching for the most part although i wanted to fastforward during the scenes with the magician, those just irritated me.

6/10

I didn't see this movie until like '96. I found it at a movie rental place about 35 min from my house. I had been looking 4 it for years because I read a review of it.

The setup was good but I was disappointed. It has been played on one of the encore channels or one of the movie channels recently.
