Today I rented Phantasm, Suspiria, and Dawn of the Dead.

I've only watched Phantasm so far. It was pretty good, although nothing special. The end left me a little confused though.

We see Reggie get stabbed, and he had also seen lots of stuff get sucked through the portal. But then at the very end he's just fine, and tells Mike that his brother simply died in a car accident, and that Mike must have been having a nightmare. But then right before the credits roll, The Tall Man grabs the kid. So was the whole movie really just a nightmare? If not, then what's up with Reggie acting like everything's normal?

you dont understand phantasm yet:D

no seriously, in the phantasm universe nothing really makes sence. there are a billiion theories for everything.


phantasm is my all time favorite horror movie.

Yeah, don't put much effort into deciphering Phantasm. Just breathe in the brooding ambiance, and enjoy the ride!

Sorry I posted in the wrong forum? I guess I'm confused about what movies can be talked about on this forum. If there's a forum for past movies, and a forum for current and future movies, then how can I be sure if what I post is appropriate in this forum?

here's one of mine...






the whole thing was a dream, jodi was killed in a car crash. the end where he gets pulled through the mirror was REAL.

this gets contradicted in the sequals, but that was my theory up until the 2nd one.

Once I get a chance to read the book that according to Reggie at Pasadena's Fangoria convention it is supposed to explain more and be more indepth character wise. They always say books are better and explain more so when I do get a chance I will let everyone know!!:p
