Birds isn't a horror?,Birds that attack and kill people is a horror movie to me.Anyone that says that about NOTLD 68 is probably under 18 since they have no clue about films before the 80's,I used to think like that but now I give horror movies from any era a chance.

Devil, don't make hasty generalizations. Not all teenage genre fans are stuck on modern slashers.

In most video stores it is in the suspense/thriller section so that is what i go by. But yes there are some great horror's from the 30's up. Old dark house comes to mind (1932)

I don't know video stores your going to but everyone that I've gone to has The Birds in the horror section because thats where it belongs.NOTLD 68 is my favourite horror movie of all time and anyone that talks shit about it I will respond to,I figured I responded pretty calmly to it,A few years ago I probably would'nt have been to calm about it.

Have The Birds in the suspense/thriller section.
It's a well made suspenseful film but is certainly not scary.
Maybe in 1968 NOTD was scary but i have been watching unrated and R Rated horror movies since i was 2 years old and they don't bother me one bit.
I saw the full version of Jaws on TV when i was 3.
Dawn of the dead is the ultimate living dead film
If the whole world was full of hungry dead dudes i'd escape to a deserted shopping centre for sure.

I agree with you about Dawn, thats one of my top ten favs of all time but I do not agree with you at all about The Birds,If a movie came out as a horror then it stays a horror,Nobody said a horror flick has to be scary.Actually,For that time it might have been a bit of shocker but it is tame compared to today's movies,Dawn can compare to any horror movie of today.

-The Boogens (1980)-A creepy little horror flick
-The Changeling (1980)-One of the best haunted house films
-The Entity (1981)-An anusual, effective, and scary supernatural thriller
