My Bloody Valentine is my favorite slasher but now u know it I suppose.
Otherwise u have : BodyCount ( Deodato ) Alice Sweet Alice ( Sole ) Terror Train ( even if u know who the killer is )

Edge Of The Axe.. 88, or roundabouts... Pretty generic slasher with some BRUTAL killings and a wicked twist at the end..

My favorite horror film, featuring a masked murderer, is "Scream" IMO, this film completely reinvented the horror genre which, at the time, needed revitalization. On the downside, "Scream" also opened the door for many, MANY, unoriginal teen - slasher flicks. (Hmmm . . . "I Know What You Did Last Summer" comes to mind . . . )

an australian "scream" rip-off called "cut" has a killer who wears a pretty badass mask. mind you, the movie is no great shakes, but the mask is pretty original.

its not all about klling and gore, the movie lso is very thoughtout as well

I agree, I love that end credit on My Bloody Valentine. Very well done. Great movie as well.

Curtains: The old hag mask is probably the most eerie and interesting masks on film

The Prowler- not totally a mask but the army fatigues hid the killers face quite well

You can't go wrong with "My Bloody Valentine"! That's one great movie!!!
I haven't seen other mask-slasher movies (I've seen "Prom Night", but it wasn't anything special, not bad either, but not superb or anything...), sorry.

I've seen Cut in my video nstore i had the choice of Cut or Kolobos and i took Kolobos which turned out to be a average film. Maybe i should check out Cut.

Cut was Awesome!! I loved it. It had evrything I look for in a good horror movie: Masked Killer, A good bodycount, and a hot chick....in this case the fabulous Kylie Minogue!!! It was ten times better than Kolobos....however the intestine scene in Kolobos was excellent!!!

Don't beleve everything i say cause i watched this a while ago so some bits may be wrong, feel free to correct me in anyway.

Kolobos= word means "to maim" i think

I group of people go to a house for an experiment on human behavior. They all have different personalitys. There is this guy who lives in it and has a cool mask at the start and he obviously doesn' want em in his house. Obviously everything starts going wrong and the house is trapped and they have to escape. Obviously that is a very vague descripsion but i didn't want to spoil it for anybody.

You summed it up quite nicely!!! Although I have to add that this movie sucked imo!!!!

"Kolobos" was good but could`ve been better. The intial premise ("Real World"-type show rigged with murderous boobytraps) was fine, but the psychological stuff in the second half bogged it down.

Cut was horrible. The killer starts spouting off HORRIBLE diaoluge. Oh my god, would someone shut him up? Attrocious. It was going great until the killers backround was revealed and such.

I agree, the killer in "Cut" should`ve kept his mask on and his mouth shut. When he started talking he was like a Freddy wannabe.
