View Full Version : Books You Never Want to be Made into Films

Well, for me, the obvious choices are:

Catcher in the Rye
Franny and Zooey

Two great books by Salinger that would be just brutal with any actors that are on the scene right now. Of course, no one would make F and Z, because the entire book is three long conversations, but I've been worried that someone will try to make Catcher a movie, and that would be the day that I lose my faith in Hollywood.

I think that any book have the right to be made into a movie with the permission of the author. As I've said before I enjoy movies over books so of course I'm a little biased, but it's still my opinion.

The Capital by Marx... although Eisenstein actually thought of making it into a movie :eek:
