3 Underated Movies - Maniac Cop. I wish they were out on DVD. I liked the story line and actors were okay. Underated in show of some of the bigger Monster Charcacters such as Jason, Leatherface, Mike.

I think that there's an R2 release of Maniac Cop, but yeah, something over here would be nice. I'm content with my gritty VHS editions, though. The murky visuals add to the inexplicable b-movie glow that coats the entire trilogy. Cool death sequences, a cool villain, and cool actors (Atkins, Campbell, Davi) make this series "must-see" material for any genre fan.

1 is pretty damn good for a b horror film. 2 is just a bit better then 1 and a bit faster paced i guess. 3 has it's moments but in the end is just an average movie. I dont know if there on DVD or if there coming to DVD because I dont keep track of that stuff. I dont really buy DVDs. I am not really there biggest fan, but enough of them. These 3 are pretty entertaining to say the least.

I've got the Region 2 DVD, and I have to say the transfer's pretty damn good.

According to the BBFC it was uncut, but it was cut in the cinema and I have the feeling this version was submitted to the BBC which in turn didn't cut any more out of it. I get this feeling because of the scene where he's beaten up in the shower. The music jumps all over the place as if stuff's been cut out.

Beware though, to anyone who was thinking of buying it, the so-called commentary by Bruce Campbell (as even advertised on the back of the box) just doesn't exist on this DVD.

Yeah, I own "Maniac Cop" on laserdisc, and it has a commenary with Bruce Campbell and William Lustig!

Oh, please God get this on DVD. Please please please...

I only own the first - one and it is pretty good.
According to the reviews the two others are awful and I am influenced by the reviews,so.
Well I have bought F13th 8 because it was for my collection.

Nevermind the reviews. The third film is weak, but the second film is just as good, if not better, than the original.

Elite have released Maniac cop on region1 DVD, but I donīt know if this disc is out of print now...
Part 2 exists on region 2...
Part 3 was bad, but I would like to see a balls out sequel to it anyway, but director Lustig will not do it as he hated his involvment in part 3

Dang, just check eBay for these dvd's.

Part 2 is region 2, gets around 15 bucks.
Part 1 freaking sells for 35 bucks + sh!
Didnt see part 3, prob sucked.

I havent seen the first 2 in a while,its been years so i would have to update my thoughts and feelings on them...but i remember thinking they were average,but liking the character of matt cordell.I own part 3 though and find it to be pretty average,cheesy but an alright time to waste flick if your bored as shit.
