In COS Draco is seen stealing at least twice , first in the bookshop , he rips the page out of a book and secondly in the Slytherin common room. What does this mean ? Could it be that J.K Rowling is using the movies to make it possible for Draco to turn good later on in the series.
If it's just him being a klepto then that would indicate that Draco suffers from emotional abuse at home , this coupled with what we see with his interaction with his father indicates that Lucius is a very abusive parent and that would have alot to do with Draco being an absolute git.
Having not yet seen the movie , but based on what I've heard and seen when Hermione is in petrified in the hospital wing , there's a page from a book with information on the basilisk in her hand. What if this is the same page that Draco ripped out of the book , remember in the first scene with Lucius and Harry in the bookstore , Draco and Hermione were standing side by side and Draco actually moved closer to her , he could have just slipped the page into her pocket.
Being a Draco redemptionist I've spotted four or five instances in the movies and books , in which Draco has helped out Harry , Ron and Hermione especially Hermione , which is why I'm a Draco/Hermione shipper.
We've already seen Snape semi-redeemed why not Draco ?

I doubt Draco slipped Hermione the paper. Many times does he talk about "Mudbloods" and "Hoping Granger'll die", if he wanted redemption, I would think he'd be less vocal about such matters. And Hermione was found near the library, when she was petrfrified. This clearly insinuates that Hermione found the page in the Hogwarts library. I like your theory, but I doubt it is true.

Sure Draco's pretty vocal about hating Mudbloods but maybe that's just because of his father's influence , it's common knowledge that Lucius is a deatheater and abusive parent , I think that he'd have no qualms about killing Draco if he seemed to be straying. Your probably right about the whole library thing , but why would Draco just rip a page out of a book for no reason.

Maybe he is just a nasty git, and who could blame him? He was brought up by Lucius Malfoy after all, he is probably threatened every day to be killed in a "sticky" way.

I think he gave her the paper by slipping it in her bag or something.Think of it this way why would hermione just rip out the paper instead of takeing the book with her?Where would she hae gotten it other than a book?

Exactly , Hermione loves books. Why would she vandalize one when she could just take the book with her ? Especially since it's school property.

I guess we'll have to wait and see what J.K. Rowling has in store for us. I am personally a Ron/Hermione shipper(and a Harry/Ginny shipper), but from what I've learned from reading the Potter books: anything is possible. Rowling is a master of twists and the unexpected.

True and she's also a fan of Jane Austin , and I think in one of Jane Austins stories this chick who hates this guy ,( Mr. Darcy I think.) who's rich and arrogant and looks down on the girl as lower class , any the chick and Mr. Darcy hate each other and then end up falling in love. I think I haven't read anything of Jane Austin's , maybe some who has can clear that up. Anyway that might be what she's trying to do with Draco and Hermione. She is very good at making the audience think one thing and then it turns out completley different.

I think that Draco will turn good in the end of the series. It would sorta be what you least expect because he is a little nasty SOB. Personally, if it were real, I probably would have killed him already.

Draco is just being a bad little boy. You heard his father Lucius "Play nicely Draco"

1. In the books, Draco doesn't steal anything. He may, but he isn't said to.
2. In the books, Draco doesn't rip a book. I don't remember if Hermione does or not, but I do know that she was petrified by the basilisk in the library right after she figured out what it was. That was in the books.
3. Rowling has stated not only that Draco and Harry will 'never be on the same side' (which leads us to believe Draco will never go good), but that Ron and Hermione have feelings for one another... So all you Draco/Hermione shippers are going to have to live out your fantasies through fannon.
