Ok, so I've read the script for Kill Bill, QT's latest movie, and I checked out Joblo's review of the script and I cannot wait for this movie to come out. I have seen all of Quentin's movies.. even the ones he didn't direct and I hope that this movie lives up to my expectations.

I think Lucy Liu may be amazing.. and I'm glad he is giving Vivica Fox a chance to shine again because she has been a B-movie chick for long enough. And of course the main bitc# Uma... just her name says it all. She was amazing in Pulp and she should be good in this as well, if she can pull off the intricate fight scenes. With David Carradine as Bill... I'm not too familiar with anything he's done so cant comment on him as an actor...Any thoughts on this one?

I can't believe there's still almost a year to go:( I cannot wait to see this. It'll be absolutely wild! Hopefully that trailer will out soon.

As time moves on, it seems to be the most promising film to be released next year, with maybe the exception of Joel Schumacher's Phone Booth. Other than that, I suppose X-Men 2, DareDevil, and The Hulk will also be released as well as LOTR:Return Of The King. But Tarantino's return from a fairly lengthy hiatus will be welcomed with open arms...now if only Oliver Stone would return...

I know that this film will rock! Quentin Tarantinos coming back with a vengence! You can tell cause of the subject matter and the retro 70s feel the movies gonna have, plus its got kung fu and exploitation film written all over it! Quentins back to what he does good!

David Carradines the actor better known for the show that he starred in the seventies and eighties called KUNG-FU.

Kun-Fu was the coolest show ever... ranks up there with 'CHiPs'.

And the A-team and Knight Rider..

But seriously I can see why David Carradine will be involved in Kill Bill since hed previously done Kung fu related stuff...and Kill bill gonna be loaded with Kung fu fighting.:D

Since when did Blo review it?

Although I have really liked Tarantino's previous movies, this probably won't interest me that much. I'm not a huge fan of kung-fu movies, have never seen Kung Fu, and didn't really like Tarantino's self-absorbed script online, so it'll take a great trailer for me to retain any interest in it

Lucy Liu alone is enough to get me there opening night. Add to that the fact Tarantino is my favorite director, these ten months or so are gonna be one hell of a long wait.

I think it could be really good, but it could go the way of jackie brown, which I myself wasn't a huge fan of, but i doubt it. I think and hope it will be great.

Here is joblo's script review:
http://www.joblo.com/movienews/539.htm

And I agree Trinity Lucy is enough of a reason to see it. I read on this site that Tarantino is releasing the screenplay in novel form 6 months or so before the movie comes out. He is an amazing writer so I will definitely pick it up, that will hold me over until the movie comes out.

Also, to Edible I hear ya on the Jackie Brown thing.. That is my favorite movie, although I can see why it was sooo underrated and ignored. All of the performances in Jackie Brown were excellent but they were all so subtle it was like watching a group people you know in real life. But the story is amazing and I love Pam G. So I loved Jackie Brown.. but I know I am in the minority on that one. But hopefully the trailer and the kung fu action will make sure that it does better than JB did.

I read the script earlier this year, and this is one of those films that's ALL in the direction. I mean, the script sounds like it could be awesome, but there's a lot of really awkward dialogue that could ruin it if Quentin isn't careful. I'll see it no matter what, but I'm kind of wary. I'm pretty sure Quentin will pull it off, though.

I've only seen 2 of Quentin's movies! Reservoir Dogs 7/10 and Pulp Fiction 10/10!!! but I'm going to see the rest of his movies "Jackie Brown, True Romance, and From Dusk Till Dawn" I can't wait untill Kill Bill! it's going to kick ass! my fellow schmoe VicVega has told me that Quentin was working on this script while he was shooting PF and then he worked on it a little more and in 2001 finished it! wow! I got to say Quentin is pretty good at what he does! He has so many good ideas in his mind that no one could think of! We will only know the girl's (Uma Thurman) name untill the end and throughout the movie whoever will say her name its going to be bleeped out! Cool isnt it?

Kill Bill looks nothing short of spectacular. Quinten Tarantino and a samauri flick, how could that miss??!! IT CAN'T! All I know is that I'm gonna be picking up this novel when it's released in June of 2003.

It looks interesting because it combines Quentin Tarantino with martial arts. It will also be cool to see David Carradine, usually a good guy in his films, to play a bad guy.

I read the script and it looks like a geeks dream. You have TONS of martial arts and action sequences, cool dialogue, TONS of splattered blood and MUCH MORE!!!!!

Its gonna be fantastic, im sure.

I do not really want to see this. Tarantino has made some great films like Pulp Fiction, but crapfests also like Jackie Brown. The cast is really bad. I loathe both Uma Thurman, and Lucy Liu. I read the screenplay on the net, and it was terribly boring. I'll skip this film.

Everybody is entitled to their own opinion.. but you thought the script was boring?!?! Whats boring about Kung fu, Revenge, and women fighting???? I think the script is excellent... I'm sure QT's direction will be off the hook in this one!

No offense but maybe its a little too adult for someone whose favorites are Harry Potter and Spider Man. QT is usually all about witty, original dialogue, and intense character development (with a splash of violence) so I can see how Jackie Brown may have missed a lot of people. But, in this movie its all about kicking as* so I think Kill Bill will please even the most brain-dead movie-goer!

Its been way too long!!! Jackie Brown came out in 1997, he really makes you wait for it.

I will be there opening night. Tarantino is a god of filmmaking, this could be his 4th masterpiece. Revenge is a theme that he was born to make a movie about.

Haha I cant believe he got Sonny Chiba, at least this movie he doesnt have as much room to do his crappy karate like in his many street fighter and kung-fu gore fests!

Its about time Tarantino, being the martial arts fan that he is, made a martial arts film! whats with all the crime (albiet good) when you rave about kung-fu and steal from city on fire. Should be awesome, i havent read through the script all the way. Im not commenting on the cast because for Pulp Fiction i doubted some of the choices. Though i cant picture "Elain" doing something serious after all that Seinfeld but we will see and Uma is great.. but can she do kung-fu?

I like most of Tarantino's work except JB. Plus, I am not a fan of Kung-Fu, so I would naturally not be super excited for this film. And I like the films by Scorsese, Demme, etc. just as much as the next guy. Plus what so bad about Potter and Spidey. They are great entertainment!

They are great entertainment I agree.. but Tarantino can be wordy, and really character focused which Spider man and Harry Potter are not. So I thought, if these are you're favorite movies it would make sense why you didnt like JB. But you are not alone... the most die-hard Tarantino fans dont think JB is his best work, but I do. JMO.

Even somebody who doesent like Kung fu may be able to get into it because its a revenge flick.

Is there any word on whether any of the Tarantino regulars will be showing up in cameos or something - Steve Buschemi, Tim Roth, Harvey Keitel, etc.?

I know Sam Jackson and Michael Madsen are showing up.
