Uzumaki and Kairo

Has anybody heard if these two movies are released on an all region dvd or region 1? I've searched high and low but to no avail. Can anybody shed some light?

As far as I know, both are Region 3, though I bought "Uzumaki" on VHS through eBay. Both are sometimes shown on IFC or Sundance Channel, if you have access to them. You can check their websites for program info.

Uzumaki has been picked up for R1 distro by Viz, aka "the company with the rights to a bunch of great Japanese movies but does nothing with them". But they have said that Uzumaki *will* be released on DVD, a Viz representative even asked the guys over at MHVF.net early this year what extras they would like to see on the disc.

There is a legit all-region Korean disc, released by Starmax, but no english subtitles. The only legit disc to have them is the R3 HK disc.

The HK R3 & Japanese R2 DVDs of Kairo both have english subs, there are probably region free boots of these floating around pirate central (aka ebay). Been picked up for an American remake, but no idea if it'll be released on DVD in the US.
