From Dark Horizons -

Tim Allen confirmed during SC2 promotions that he's keen on doing a feature film version along the lines of the "National Lampoon's Vacation" series.

I wasn't a huge fan of the show during it's 8 season run, I came to like the show watching reruns a couple years later. I forn one would love to see the movie, so long as Tim helms it or it is at lthe very least, tightly based on his vision.

What would you guys think of a Home Improvement movie.

I say why not, itll be good to catch up on the taylors since I thought the series finally pretty much sucked. Will this have the returning cast or will it be new actors?

This would actually be a good idea, and it would work. I sort of miss Home Improvement, and it would be great to see it be continued on the big screen.

Actually, free, just last year I think there was a TV movie of the Growing Pains...well, all Grown up and all. I didn't watch it, but as you would guess, I heard it was abysmal.

If they got the original cast it would be GREAT... if not, I'm not sure, but as long as Tim Allen is involved... I'm there!

I think its a good idea. It would be nice to see Al and Wilson again. I miss the show and still catch re-runs whenever I can.

If they got the original cast it would be GREAT

I doubt that. This is a picture of Taran Noah Smith and wife Heidi. Taran played the youngest son, Mark.

I love the idea myself. I was a big fan of the show, and seeing the Taylors on the big screen would be wonderful. I will see it as long as Tim Allen(the best comedian working today) is involved, and the guy who plays Al should also be in this. I hope they keep TOOL TIME.

I liked home improvement, but the kids must all look seriously different. If they all look young enough than it could be believable to make them all around/below 20 but that picture of Mark is scary. What is he even doing now?

Jeez, I thought he was older than that... and his wife scares me. I guess at least he is still young enough to do the movie though.

It seems like a great idea. I loved the show and still do. As long as they have as much intelligent writing like on the show, were on easy street  .

This isn't a joke. He mows lawns for a living! I saw it on Entertainment Tonight! But that was when he was 17 and hadn't gotten any of his Home Improvement money yet...

So sad..... so, so sad.... He really isn't much of an actor so I suppose it makes sense though. About the other ones? Randy and Brad? Jonathon Taylor Thomas left the show but what did he end up doing??

I know that Jonathon Taylor Thomas recently has a guest appearance on Smallville as a bad guy, and that earlier in the season Zachery Ty Bryan, had a guest appearance on Buffy as a bad guy.

I always think it's funny when a well known actor leaves a show and then falls off the face of the planet. i.e. David Caruso. Of course he got lucky and landed on another tv show, but he's the exception to the rule.

Oh yeah, totally. Basically if you leave a series before it ends, you are almost indefinitely going to fail. You see it happen so many times, you'd think the people would learn. George Clooney is the only one I can really think of who has become bigger than he was during ER. Unless Christa Miller left the Drew Carey show for personal reasons she can pretty much kiss her career goodbye.

Actually Christa Miller was very smart. Drew Carey was a stupid show and it's ratings are failing miserably. Now she is a recurring character on her husband Bill Lawrence's critcally acclaimed comedy Scrubs, which is up there in the ratings w/ Survivor and Will and Grace.

Hmm maybe I should research before I post. :D I agree that Drew Carey had gotten extremely bad, but I didn't think she'd be on Scrubs more than once. Good for here then. :)

I HATE Home Improvement. My roommate sits in the room and watches re-runs of it two or three times a Day!!! I'm so sick of them. To me. the show still does go on!!! and i would not pay money to see this!!!! ek, cheezy lines, bland storyline, molded family....simply thought out.....low humor

P.S....Tool Time is THE worst part of the show

The show was at times amusing but I really dont care to watch a movie of it. It would be a bad idea if you ask me.

O.K. a little off-topic here but . . . Is it just me or does JTT (*sigh* hehe) resemble Harrison Ford in this picture???

BTW If the cast returned I would see it.

holy cow! that kid looks exactly like one of my friends!!

anyways, it owuld be cool for them to make a movie of home improvement but the only way for them to make a good one is if they had the cast for it and the cast has gotten older since then and it just wouldnt feel right...

P.S. Who came up with the idea to put wilson's face behind something all the time?
Pure (in)genious!

Just hasn't done much. Since the show ended, as far as I can tell, the only thing he has done is last year's "Speedball: the Movie."
Enjoy!

Hmm... well Tim Allen's great (Santa Clause sucks, though) and Home Improvement was funny. But like the constant sequelling going on in Hollywood, I fear the "let's take a series and make a movie out of it" craze is beginning to take hold too. Hence Hey Arnold and Wild Thornberries. Could Home Improvement work? Don't see why not, again as long as Tim's got a lot of say in it.
