You know what I mean, those movies where you're watching and midway through you turn to your buddy and say "Wow, I can't believe that's (insert name of actor/actress here)". Something along the lines of:

Tim Curry in LEGEND
Gary Oldman in HANNIBAL
Danny Devito in BATMAN RETURNS
Tim Roth in PLANET OF THE APES

Well, I never saw the movie, but from a still picture I saw of it in American Cinematographer Magazine, I'd say Robin Williams' old man makeup in Bicentennial Man.

Gianetto Di Rossi's Zombie make ups for Lucio Fulci's Zombie. 23 years old and still the best zombie make ever put on film.

Oldman in Hannibal. Best of it's kind that I've ever seen.

The best old guy make up I've ever seen was on F. Murray Abraham in Amadeus.

Arnold Schwarzenegger after getting damaged in T2.
Jim Carrey, How The Grinch Stole Christmas.
All of the apes in Planet Of The Apes (2001).
Jack Nicholson, Batman.

MY GOD!!! I thought it looked like shit... Well, I also just hated his performance in it.

Come to think of it, his face was decent (though there WAS cover-up makeup visible around his mouth), I just really really thought he sucked in the movie.

Now Gary Oldman in DRACULA... That's the shit. Great stuff there.

This too I was unimpressed with. He looked powdery and rubbery to me. I actually laughed out loud when he first came on screen. He also dons horrible makeup in Star Trek: Insurrection. Yuck.

Now, Robin Williams... THAT'S a face for good makeup... You got Mrs. Doubtfire AND Bicentennial Man for "old person" makeup, and they're both excellent. (Though, as I stated in my first post, "Bicentennial" is the best.)

I also love the makeup on Vincent D'Onofrio in Men in Black and The Cell.

And who can forget Willem Dafoe as Nosferatu?

How about that "elephant man" in From Hell?

The manimals in The Island of Dr. Moreau.

And, last, but not least... John Leguizamo as a huge, fat, disgusting clown in Spawn, and even Spawn himself.

These are all what I think to be amazing stuff. Any questions or comments?

I had no idea that was John Leguizamo until the credits. Pretty good job on him.
