(1) Rogue Force (also called Renegade Force and CounterForce in the UK) -- For me, I just saw this a few days ago, and was surprised not only at how good the SWAT scenes were (real SWAT teams actually helped int he production) but also the movie as a whole - the ending was a bit unorthadox but I won't spoil it. :P

(2) SWAT scene in Leon (called The Professional in the USA) -- not only cool in SWAT terms, but also Leon's quick-thinking ;)

(3) Executive Decision -- Pretty cool but a bit far-fetched and sometimes 'boring' film which has more meaning now post-9/11.

(4) Terminator 2: Judgement Day -- Cool scene in Skynet.

Léon- The apartment raid at the end of the movie. Great sequence. Léon is the man.

Dawn Of The Dead- The beginning project raid. I love it when "Wooley goes apeshit."

the skynet scene in judgement day was pretty kick ass. it's one of my favorite movies, and that's one of the best scenes in the film. definitely gets my vote.

I'm really not much into SWAT teams, but I really like military special forces. Some movies that I can think of are not great, but include: Navy Seals, Delta Force , and the Green Berets. Of course, probably the best film about special forces is Blackhawk Down , which includes both Rangers and Delta Force. Someday though, I would really like to see a good film specifically about either the Delta Force or the British SAS.

Lol I kinda got confused....but It's Cyberdyne not SkyNet, SkyNet is the super-computer that launches all the nuclear warheads at Russia on August 29th 1997, it was prevented though...;)

Oh... I didn't know that. Cyberdyne, eh? Now I know where Rare got their "DataDyne" from for their Perfect Dark game... I thought it sounded familiar... :)

As for Black Hawk Down being the best military movie at present - I actually liked We Were Soldiers slightly more, since not only did it feel like a carbon-copy of BHD in terms of relentless and realistic actino sequences, but it had a bit more such as the wives back home, and a bit of the enemy and their planning.

I appreciate your opinion, but to me We Were Soldiers was contrived and overly sentimental. The battle scenes were fairly realistic, but that has become easy since Spielberg did D-day in Saving Private Ryan. I have yet to see BHD, but I understand that is also pretty realistic. I should watch that, as I can judge the realism pretty well, since that was my era in the Army.

On topic, I loved the inept SWAT team at the end of The Blues Brothers.:D

1. The SEALS getting slaughtered in The Rock

2. The SWAT team in Seven was fucking badass!

3. The SWAT team in Die Hard were fucking lamo's! Remember when the dude cut his hand on a flower (A FLOWER!!!) and he said in a very un- swat way "ouch!". I rest my case.

4. I liked the special forces team that Eric Bana led in Black Hawk Down. I especially liked when they snuck up on the attacking dudes using nightvision. Very cool.

The Negotiator (1998) also has some amazing SWAT sequences.

I like Executive Decision very much as it show resourceful special forces people and others.
You have to love a movie where Steven Seagal dies/ disappears in the first hour.

Its true that clever psycho/terrorists get too clever for themselves and want to show off. The unabomber would have killed a lot if he didn't think he was a genius.

The French movie The Nest is the best. Certainly a movie with the most night vision goggles and laser sights (all in the bad guys hands).

Great action sequence with them (getting their ass kicked) in The Dark Knight.

Intense sequence with them in Silence of the Lambs.

FBI, SWAT, police are not shown favorably in any of the Die Hard particularly the first two. You mentioned the first and of course there's the SWAT team in the second that gets annihilated by four (or was it five?) terrorists disguised as painters.

You mean Die Hard 2
and they weren't SWAT, they were the airport police. There were no SWAT in Die Hard 2- outside communication was cut, only the mysterious corrupt military anti-terrorist force.

The TV show Flashpoint is awesome.

Generally, Flashpoint is awesome tactically and strategically and any occasionally annoying personnel's personal stories intrude.
