This Christmas promises to be one heavily focused on serious Oscar-worthy fare. But come January Hollywood gets back to normal and stops taking itself so seriously. One of the first comedies of 2003 is the Ashton Kutcher/Brittany Murphy team-up JUST MARRIED. The film follows a young couple on their honeymoon who encounter disaster after disaster. Hey, it's got Brittany Murphy in it! That's a good thing right? Cause she's a good lookin' gal. Anyway, here's a first look at the poster for JUST MARRIED which opens January 10th.

I heard the trailer sucks and is really idiotic but I know I'll still see it, either on video or in theaters. I do really like the poster, as generic as it may be, and Brittany looks HOT!

i enjoy ashton kutcher alot,but not brittany murphy too much,but i must admit in this one she looks incredible,espicially on the poster...they showed the trailer for this at extreme ops last night,and it looked like an alrighty time...something you'd take friends or girls to see...not something you take serious and go alone,i think you definetly need to go with someone to enjoy it as much it will...had some funny spots,ill check it out if i finish checking out all the theatrically released films i already want to see that are still out....

I don't know what's wrong with me, but I actually kind of liked the trailer. I even laughed several times. For some sick twisted reason, I really want to see this movie, even if every voice of reason says it sucks. At least I can hide behind the excuse that Brittany Murphy is hot...Can't I?

Just Married 5/10

I saw a sneak preview of this on Wednesday and the movie was pretty much what I expected, a forgettable movie that is made watchable by two very likable stars. Brittany Murphy is an infectious performer and the best part of this movie, she produces the most chuckles. Ashton Kutcher plays himself and that was fine, a few laughs here and there. What struck me first about the film was how half-assed it was. Everything is underdeveloped, characters (some only have a line and we're supposed to know who they are), plot (the films knows its a formula one, so it could at least try to cough up enough story to be one) and other stuff. There are a few pretty funny moments, but the rest is so predictable (think they'll get back together in the end? I wont spoil it, you'll have to use your noggen to figure that one out) and by the numbers it doesnt stay with you.

If youre a fan of dumb romantic comedies, Kutcher or Murhpy (mainly Murphy, she manages to rise above the material), check it out, but overall I can't reccommend it.

Just Married looks like another stupid romatic-comedy that I refuse to see. I saw the trailer today, and I was terrified at the sheer horror of the footage shown. Frightening!!!

I thought the trailer to this movie looked pretty dumb but saw 3 clips from the film today on the website and thought they were very funny. Not necessarily the material but the two actors and their chemistry. I didn't want to see this before but now i do.

btw...i asked this in general movie talk already but does anyone know the song played on almost all the tv spots for this film?

I'm there Jan. 17th. Sure it looks predictable and forgettable, but it does look like fun. Plus, I really think Aston Kutcher is funny and like basically anything he does.

Eh, it looks like a vehicle for the two to be able to star in a movie together. Smells like a slapstick comedy version of a Bounce-like disaster to me...I'll see what the buzz around it after it opens is, but I doubt I'll see it.
