Kevin Smith Writes Scary Movie 3!!!

Check out www.newsaskew.com for all the details. What it basically says is that Kev will be co-writing and executive producing this movie. I gotta say, I was shocked.

Best case scenario: We get a good Scary Movie for once.

Worst case scenario: Kevin has lost his touch.

Personally, I'm leaning toward the former.

i dont see this as a good thing at all for smith,and scary movie fans in general...im not one of the scary movie fans,didn't want to risk wasting money on part 2,because of the horrible piece of shit the first one was,so this shouldnt be any different...whats this all sum up too???Making loads of money at the box office...

I have faith in Kevin Smith, hes brought us great movies such as MallRats and Clerks and others. He might just resurrect this movie and save it from the shitty spoof films.

They must've offered a shitload of money for him to rewrite it, since he's still finishing Jersey Girl when this starts production in February. But he may yet write a great Scary Movie (even though it's not scary) and put some class into it

Actually, I think his writing abilities could make this a decent movie. Plus Zucker is supposed to direct so it's got 2 great talents working on a sequel to 2 movies that blew. Okay, so I didn't see the second one, but I'm going with my instinct.

i loved clerks and liked chasing may but thought mallrats and jay and silent bob strike back were big disappointments, i hope this isnt kevin smith's attempt to score a big hit with little effort but i like zucker movie's, didnt he help bring us airplane?

I'm guessing the Weinstein brothers are behind the hiring of Smith...There already was three writers attached before him (including the human joke-machine Pat Proft), so it was probably those guys who got him involved. Hopefully the dialogue will have a Smith touch this time, and maybe, just maybe David Zucker will direct a decent film for once.
