hey there. just curious...why do you all like the actors and actresses that you like?
i like jake gyllenhaal mostly because of the movies he picks. he doesn't pick movies to give him fame. he's just good at what he does. and yeah, he doesn't pick the greatest movies 100% of the time (i liked bubble boy, but....it was out there)...but come on, THAT LAUGH he laughs in the movie?! its great! it also helps that he is extremely good looking imho and he is just so adorable and he seems really down to earth! i always find that appealing!

i like barry pepper because, well, he was in battlefield earth. naw, just kidding. he was the reason i saw it! teehee...anyways, he just seems to be on a role. he jut picks parts that are different from the last (except for the couple of war roles he was in) and he is just really good at everything he does. and sure, he's beautiful, but come on, he HAS talent!

ok, now some people don't like sarah michelle gellar , but i always have. i even loved her when she played kendall on all my children. but, i just really like her. most of the time she picks good movies and she just has this emotion.....its great. she is also on my favorite show, but of course, it could be my favorite show because of her. but i love her. i love watching her. she is just great at what she does!

i like benicio del toro cause, well....why not?! he's soo good at what he does and he's really sexy and he's just really good at what he does and he's really sexy and he is just good at what he does...and did i say that already???

Tom Sizemore- I don't know why but this guys my favorite actor. He just seems really, really, really......cool. He's turned in some great performances in Bringing Out The Dead, Saving Private Ryan and Heat. He's one of those physical actors who let's their intimidation do most of the acting (like Gandolfini). I also like how he's remained doing solid support roles. Just a very cool dude.
Don Cheadle- Gives ol Tommy a good run for his money for favorite actor. Another career supporting actor. Awesome in Boogie Nights, Traffic, Out Of Sight and Devil In A Blue Dress. He's just a very likeable and down to earth dude. I think he'll win an oscar one day.
Morgan Freeman- What can I say? The mans a legend. Could just be the most liked and respected actor out there.
Steve McQueen- Sure he's dead, but he's still the coolest guy EVER!
Those are my major favorites. The list could go on though.

Well, I really didn't like SMG until this picture. Anybody who loves Miniature Pinschers can't be all bad.:D
I like Charlize because she's the most naturally beautiful woman I've ever seen.
I like Tom Hanks because he is the finest actor of our generation, and he came from such humble beginnings. (Bosom Buddies, anyone. Okay, you youngsters have probably never seen it.)

As wise as you are, Greb, you're wrong on this one, I've seen it an endless amount of times. When I was wee I went through a Bosom Buddies...*stage*...that's right...I look back on it with almost as much pain as my Facts of Life stage...but alas, it occured. All Hanks, all the time. :D
Anyway, I like
Ewan McGregor because he is one of the best actors of his generation, along with being one of the most beautiful human beings in the most unconventional sense that I've ever seen. (His accent don't hurt him none).
Al Pacino...he's Pacino. What can I say?
Christian Bale, I've been watching this bloke ever since Newsies. More because it is just a habit to see him in movies, then anything.
Kevin Spacey.......yeah...
Tom Cruise, because his recent movies have for the most part been quite good...and I like to support the poor man. He's teased to no end.
John Cusack. Say Anything.
Jake Gyllenhaal because he tends to make great, quirky movies.
Tobey Maguire, see Jake Gyllenhaal.
Robert DeNiro...because you have to. You just do.
Actresses
Nicole Kidman because she is really developing as an actress and making some wonderful flicks.
Thora Birch...American Beauty...Ghost World...'nuff said.
Jena Malone, she's in everything anyway! Everywhere I go! It's HER! So I figure, what the hell, might as well make an effort to see her stuff and not be so shocked when she appears...and immediately beings hitting on the main character, nearly always played by one of Hollywoods "young hot talents".
Anne Bancroft...she's Mrs. Robinson!
...there are more...I just cannot think of them.

ROBERT DE NIRO
The reason I love Rob is because of his great presence and believability in all his roles, plus his performance as Jimmy in Goodfellas and Travis in Taxi Driver are amazing.
AL PACINO
The same as De Niro but he has this intensity and presence that makes you watch his every move he keeps you glued to the screen.
TOM HANKS
I've always loved Tom Hanks, since Big he really has gone onto such amazing heights and just seems to get better and better. He also seems like an great, genuine guy.
SAMUEL L JACKSON
He is the coolest man in the world, there is nobody like him.
NATALIE PORTMAN
Now don't smirk. Ever since her performance in The Profesional I've been in love with this girl. I'll watch any garbage she's in including The Phantom Menace. She isnt very good as Padme in the Star Wars movies but is great in everything else.
THORA BIRCH
Not that attractive but there is just something about her that makes her attractive, she is also a great actress with a bright future ahead of her.
KIRSTEN DUNST
Another amazingly beautiful girl with bags of potential and bucket loads of talent. She just seems like the sort of girl that is approachable and always having fun. A great personality. Plus she is absolutely gorgeous in The Virgin Suicides and has turned out great performances in dire movies like Crazy Beautiful and Bring It On.
GILLIAN ANDERSON
Gill is one of the most under-rated actresses in the world. Her performance in my all-time fave TV series were nothing short of sensational and deserves to be used more often in movies.

Christian Bale - because he can do any type of role perfectly.
Gary Oldman - same as above
Jennifer Connelly - the most beautiful woman in the world and one of the best actresses.
Willem DaFoe - he's a legend.
John Malkovich - he's a legend too.
Kevin Spacey - the greatest actor ever.
Naomi Watts - beautiful and talented. She should've won an Oscar for Mulholland Drive.
Jude Law - brilliant.
Edward Norton - brilliant
Hugh Jackman - he's Wolverine and you can't get much cooler than Wolverine.
Eric Bana - he was the best thing about Black Hawk Down.
Samuel L. Jackson - coolest guy in the world.

Kim Basinger - charming actress which knows in which movie to film, never rushes for money, but chooses the movie she likes; very beautiful
Sharon Stone - powerfull actress, expresses her emotions wonderfully, her face can play itself, i mean it's very emotional, her face, beautiful and VERY bitchy
Jodie Foster - actress who impressed me in TSOTL and never disimpressed me after that, pretty
Julianne Moore - Hannibal and Magnolia - both great movies, she's a great actress, beautiful.
Catherine Zeta-Jones - powerful actress not as much as Sharon, but still.... usually plays hot chicks as she's hot herself, attractive
Liz Hurley - nice actress, especially in AP, Bedazzled and The Weight Of Water, very beautiful and hot
Meg Ryan - good melodramas actess, attractive
Anthony Hopkins - the greatest actor of all times! Is gorgeous in all the movies (in those ones i've seen), noone can replace him
Brad Pitt - the guy who knows how to choose good scripts (Mexican isn't counted!), Meet Joe Black and Fight Club both are great examples, beautiful (and great body)
Edward Norton - guy-genius, powerful acting and weak appearance... great qualities for an actor! he's the most powerful actor after AH for me
Mike Myers - another genius in another movie area, knows how to amuse people and acts HILARIOUS!
Marlon Wayans - amusing actor
Haley Joel Osment - the third genius in my list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our birthday is on the same day (April 10) -thank God the year is different. He totally blows me away with his acting, this guy. He's smart (at least seems so to me) and playing his roles perfectly
Jared Leto - he's good

forgot about Melora Walters and can't edit my post.
so, MW - simple and at the same time exciting acting, which IMPRESSES me, talent, of course, she got me interested in herself since Magnolia; charming
Well, my choices are kinda retro(i.e. they're both dead),but:
Grace Kelly: She's just a great actress. In her 7 film roles she made a lasting impression on every actress after her. She had the perfect mixture of charm and the ability to play highly sophisticated to common folk. Doesn't hurt that she's the most beautiful woman I've ever seen.
Must see films: Rear Window, Dial M For Murder, To Catch A Thief
Toshiro Mifune: Not only was he hilarious, but he could shift from devastated to downright giddy in a moment. He often played similar roles, but he made each one his own, and stole the show from Akira Kurosawa's directing, which is no small feat. It is best to see the two films he really owns to appreciate his talent: Yojimbo and Sanjuro.
Must see films: Anything with him directed by Kurosawa.

Actors
Bruce Campbell - He is certainly one of the best actors who can be cool and act onscreen at the same time. He also cares about his fans a lot.
Ewan McGregor - It takes a lot for a person to play a character that Alec Guiness played
Gregory Peck - I seem to like actors with distinctive voices. Not only that but he is just excellent in all his movies.
Malcolm Mcdowell - Three words: A Clockwork Orange
Actresses -
Nicole Kidman - Ive liked her in all the movies Ive seen her in. Her performance in Moulin Rouge blew me away.
Frances Mcdormand - Her performance in Fargo was excellent as well in the rest of the movies Ive seen her in.
Son Gohan

Jason Statham - His face is very rugged, and at the same time very cute. Even though he get's baged alot of his accent, I personally love it. I like his past as a street con, high diver, and then modeling.

Reese Witherspoon: So many reasons i don't know where to begin. First and foremost she's an incredible actress who has the ability to do any movie genre with ease. She's also very beautiful and extremely charming. I've loved her in every one of her movies and she did an amazing job in all of them. She really can't be bad, well not that i've seen anyhow. She's also very intelligent and funny, some might not think she's funny, but she's proven herself to be a great comedic actress. Check out "Election" and "Legally Blonde" if you wanna see Reese at her comedic best. Overall, Reese is just a fantastic performer and I just love her and her work.

Actresses: Because I wanna do them.
Well, ok, I didn't really change the old one...just spelled it out differently. :)

Actor: Bruce Campbell-Cool, hilarious actor. Knows how to play arrogant, and is good to his fans.
Actress: Naomi Watts-Horrendously underappreciated, has enourmous talent, has great screen presense, is very good-looking, intelligent, and charming.

I too, would like to add Adrien Brody. I fell madly for him after seeing The Pianist (before he won the Oscar, mind you, and became Mr. Popularity..sorta...)

From what I've seen, he's witty, talented, funny, down-to-earth, genuine and an all around NICE guy. Plus...he's not bad to look at either. His famous tousled look drives me mad. :)

Julianne Moore - I love her because she's a phenomenal actress who's made a lot of great movies (The End of the Affair and Far From Heaven being my favorite) and who almost always creates characters I empathize with. Also because she is bloody gorgeous and only gets hotter and hotter as she gets older.
Nicole Kidman - for her performance in Moulin Rouge! There are other reasons too, but that's the big one.
Renee Zellweger - cause she's a great actress, but mostly because she's so damn adorable! The same goes for Myrna Loy.
Jodie Foster - she seems like a really intelligent and down-to-earth woman. I love the fact she only chooses to the projects she really believes in, even if it means one movie every 4-5 years. And she has given some downright amazing performances in some of my favorite movies (Contact and SOTL).
Bette Davis - cause she such a great character you could put her in any lackluster melodrama and make it engaging. She's the type of actress with whom you can never quite lose yourself in the character she's playing because her own persona is too overwhelming. But it doesn't matter cause she's so much fun. And contrary to popular belief, she can be quite beautiful (Jezebel) and quite sexy (All About Eve).
Julia Roberts - yes, I like Julia Roberts, so sue me.;) I find a lot of her movies entertaining, funny and all-around enjoyable (My Best Friend's Wedding and Erin Brockovich especially), and think she's a very good actress and a great screen star (her presence really lights up the screen). I like Sandra Bullock for similar reasons.
Barbara Stanwyck - because, to put it ever so bluntly, she kicks so much ass. I love her because she could make me laugh, cry or get me to off her hubby, all with equal ease. Because when I think about, it it's hard for me to believe Phyllis Dietrichson and Ann Mitchell were played by the same person. Because no other actor/actress has a way with dialogue quite like Ms. Stanwyck has - nobody else could spout lines at that speed and make it look that easy. Because she's the hottest woman I've ever seen and the fact that it has nothing to do with her looks. She's my favorite actress right now.
Gene Tierney - I love her cause she was the quintessential movie star. She had a kind of innate grace and quite elegance about her, and was always the best dressed woman both on screen and off (it pays to have a top designer for a husband). In her prime, hers was the single most perfect face I've ever laid eyes on. She was a great actress too, quite underrated.
Deborah Kerr - cause she's so bloody elegant and poised and soooo 'British' - I love it! All aloof on the surface and steaming underneath - she was HOT! She also has the loveliest, gentlest voice I've ever heard.
Carole Lombard - who else could play that annoying, narcissistic, hysterical socialite brat, Irene Bullock, and make the audience fall in love her? Nope, nobody but Carole.
Hannibal21
06-04-2004, 11:30 PM
HUMPHREY BOGART - I have never found, and never will find, another actor with such a vicinity with dialogue as Bogie. Bogie, how can I describe him? You either enjoy him or not. I myself love the guy unconditionally. I love him for his charismatic way of delivering such witty, memorable dialogue whilst remaining ahead of the game out of all the characters in his movies. Ya also gotta love a tough, cynical expatriate with a heart of gold deep inside that evokes the best out of his idealistic mind, while remaining as cool as movie stars can get. He may not have the best looks of a leading man, but the palpable energy and inner sexuality that he exudes is absolutely impeccable. All those qualities from both the inside/out, and much, much more create THE most perfect male movie star of all time, who also displayed his range in films like High Sierra, The Treasure of the Sierra Madre, and The Caine Mutiny. Madness, anger, sarcasm, warmth, villainy....when the guy can find the right materials to work with, he can produce some of the greatest lines, and the most unforgettable characters.
ORSON WELLES - Without a doubt one of the most influential people in film. Citizen Kane says it all, and that's the main reason I love the guy so much. His performance in that film will eternally stand at the top of my list for the greatest male performance of all time. There are very few characters as complicated as Charles Foster Kane, and Welles created an image in him, embodied all the wide range of emotions, language and massive internal conflicts in order to make us feel sorry, hate and understand him more and more as the film progresses in our hearts with each viewing. It's that comprehensive style of writing/acting/directing....when in his hands, nothing can go wrong. I also love the guy for his scene stealing turn in The Third Man, his terrifying but captivating presence combined with flawless acting talent of a performance in Touch of Evil, his hypnotic and intriguing style in creating dark, thrilling film noirs, etc. etc. But Citizen Kane is the main reason.
INGRID BERGMAN - There's no question about it for me. Ingrid was the most beautiful woman who ever lived, who was also one of the greatest actresses. She had a spiritual integrity about her on the outside, so when I look at her, I completely forget that I'm looking at just any woman...she was something more than that, a flawless natural Goddess who breathed delicacy, life, and warmth into whatever role she portrayed. She can transform herself into any dramatic or comedic role so flawlessly, with longlasting sensibility, and as a result, bringing more weight of passion and subtext, than the scripts could ever offer her.
BETTE DAVIS - She excelled at playing the baaaad girls we all love. We recall her from her vivacious, sexy turn in All About Eve, her bitchy image in The Little Foxes & The Letter, and her capacity to be funny yet terrifying at the same time in Whatever Happened to Baby Jane. But as an actress with such a larger than life persona, such an extensive dramatic talent for making any character engaing to say the least, we also discover the melodramatic side of Bette in films like Now, Voyager and Dark Victory, the melodrama no one else can make happen with so much unforgettable skills, and make it so fascinating to watch, than Miss Davis, one of the queens of all the actresses.
MARLON BRANDO - Declared by several folks as possibly the greatest actor that ever lived. Well, as a fan of his enormous talent, I can't complain. Although not my most personal favorite, his abilties to truly perform and make you focus on the ACTOR side, not the 'movie star' side of Brando, is simply phenomenal in all aspects.
Julianne Moore: She's the best actress of her generation, I've never seen her give a bad performance (even in tosh like Laws Of Attraction she's the best thing about the film). She gave what I consider the best performance I've seen on film (Amber Waves in Boogie Nights). She comes across as nice, down to earth and intelligent in real life and, just to echo what Trinity said, is unbelieveably hot.

There's no way I could list them all...I'd be here all day...
Actors
Philip Seymour Hoffman
I'll be the first to admit that initially, I wasn't Hoffman's greatest fan. From the films I had seen him in, he was the terminal sleazeball (Scent of a Woman, Red Dragon) but then I started to actively seek out his film after seeing his performance in 'The 25th Hour.' From then on, I was converted. I remember reading an interview with his mother who, after seeing his performance in 'Happiness' (I admire anyone that lets their mother watch them in a role that would make, er, uncomfortable viewing), stated that he "gave a voice to the unheard."
Versatile, observant and subtle, Hoffman makes each role his own. Brimming with delicate nuances and pathos, he makes even the most despicable characters identifiable and even sympathetic. From the painfully insecure Scotty J to the vicious salesman of 'Punch Drunk Love,' Hoffman is always endlessly watchable, and I always find that even after I've seen a film of his a couple of times, I can still detect aspects of his peformance that I had not noticed before. One of, if not the, finest character actors of his generation.
Gary Oldman
Probably my favourite British actor of all time (and that's with some VERY stiff competition from players such as Jeremy Irons and Ray Winstone - and yes, I appreciate that those two are complete polar opposites). What I love about Oldman is the danger that he brings to his roles - always teetering on the edge of that certain something, taking delight in the fact that we as an audience are painfully, astutely aware that something is bubbling beneath the surface - whether it be the active rebellion of his role of Sid Vicious or the dangerous sexuality of his interpretation of Dracula.
Another versatile one, despite being slammed by some for becoming something of a rent-a-villain. Don't even get me started on that claim. Whether he does comic book boo-hiss baddie in films such as 'Lost In Space,' or his truly sadistic prison warden in 'Murder In the First,' he possesses a genuinely menacing quality that doesn't come from spitting his lines or facial contortions, but from a more subtle but no less effective presence that oozes from him onscreen. I think, if I had to summarise his performances in one word, I would label them 'captivating.'
Christopher Walken
An absolute legend in my eyes. The epitome of cool, and probably the creepiest person on celluloid. He is iconic enough to bag extremely memorable roles in films such as 'Sleepy Hollow' and 'Pulp Fiction' (let's face it - he has one speech, about five minutes of screen time, and how many people take the memory of that gold watch story home with them?), and I think he has one of the best voices in cinema. Whether it be the humorous yet strangely touching tones of his aforementioned gold watch speech, or the crackling, ominous exchange with Dennis Hopper in 'True Romance,' Walken makes each line work for him. As much as I loved David Carradine as Bill in the Kill Bill films, I always envisaged Walken in that role.
He's not blessed with a leading man's looks, but this serves Walken well - with those eyes (I bet you a tenner that if you're on the receiving end of a Walken stare you'll turn to stone ;)), that hair (I quote the man himself when he says "my hair was famous before I was"), and his palpable physical presence - who embodies casual yet potent young male sexuality better than Walken, dancing around the pool table in 'The Deer Hunter'? - he is a truly mesmerising actor, whether he's charming audiences to within an inch of their lives, or fixing that icy stare upon them and swallowing them whole.
Actresses
Cate Blanchett
One of the most diverse working actresses today, and a member of a rare breed that does not court the spotlight. Even in roles as different as Elizabeth I and trailer trash wife in 'Bandits,' Blanchett never fails to deliver. With a quietly confident presence, and also completely devoid of self-consciousness, Blanchett takes a role and truly makes it her own. She can be a magnificent leading lady and carry an entire film on her shoulders, but she can also step back and play supporting roles with the perfect amount of subtlety and tact.
She also has a sort of alternative ethereal beauty that can either be highlighted (in the LOTR films, for example) to make her appear almost godlike, or played down to such an extent that you could quite easily imagine her living next door. An actress that never seems to fear challenging roles, and has still managed to call the shots when it comes to her roles which is a rare feat in contemporary film.
Emily Watson
Three words - 'Breaking The Waves.' Like Blanchett, she is not threatened by challenging roles and executes them with aplomb, throwing caution to the wind if need be, and has still managed to get the choice roles in both relatively indie and mainstream films (she was the best thing about 'Red Dragon,' and even managed to cut herself a niche as a romantic lead in 'Punch Drunk Love').

JIMMY STEWART - Quite simply, he rocks. He's the image of the every day man we all love. Funny, smart, diverse, and talented. One of the epitomes of a true screen legend.
BARBARA STANWYCK - A strong force of nature who has the source to make things dramatic and entertaining, but who also excels at romantic comedies, has the simplicity to move you to tears, or she can the most calculating, deadliest femme fatale in movie history. It also doesn't hurt that she's one of the hottest actresses ever.
GREGORY PECK - He's what every movie fan could ask for in an actor. A demonstration of a true movie star with serious, magnificent acting abilities to form himself into a raw actor's actor we all love. He has the natural decency that no other actor embodies more, and his righteous, gentleman like interior signifies any man's need for justice and truth.
KATHARINE HEPBURN - She can poke more fun into screwball comedies like no other actress can. She has a distinct combination of femininity, toughness and exuberance that makes her a strong iconic woman we look up to and admire. She has one of the most subtle and mesmerizing presences ever, and she's utterly breathtaking in all her performances. The epitome of a female movie star.
LIV ULLMAN - It's absolutely overwhelming how good she is, and it's impossible to doubt her abilities to completely lose herself into the subtexities of the complicated roles she plays. She can give off a sophisticated vibe from her whole body of work in language and her flawless emotions on film. When any moment could be in danger of being forced by melodrama, Ullman makes it believable to the highest degree with her execution.
AL PACINO - One of the most intense, realistic actors I've ever seen. He could make my top 20 with The Godfather films alone, but there are way too many sensations to count from this enormous talent.

*please note that all the actors/actresses below can be filed under "BADASS".
ACTORS:
Arnold Schwarzenegger - Nobody can utter a catchphrase like this guy, and he's starred in the best damn action movies in the biz. Plus, he's a class act, which is probably why he's "Ze Guhvuhnaaaaytuh". Viva Arnie!
Clint Eastwood - The man is a myth. A legend. The pinnacle of badassness, no matter what movie he's in, he captivates with his steely-eyed squint and larger than life screen presence. Bow down to the masta.
Robert De Niro - Probably the best actor I've ever seen work onscreen. From Taxi Driver to Raging Bull to Goodfellas, the man has done it all and done it all perfectly. And he's one of the coolest mofos I've ever had the fortune of witnessing in action.
Joe Pesci - De Niro's right hand man. The guy is one of my favorite supporting performers. The voice, the mannerisms, the high-pitched rage...I love watching this guy work, especially when he's pissed off and is brandishing a weapon of some sort, or making threats on some innocent's life.
Al Pacino - Pretty much the same reasons as Bobby D above. A legendary actor with a repertoire of roles that render him irreplaceable. "Hoooooaaahhh!"
Michael Biehn & Johnny Depp - "Da Original Kings of Cool". Everything they're in, whether it be great or not-so-great, is a treat to watch them work, owning every scene they're in. Fantastic actors.
Bill "The Pax" Paxton - A solid actor and one hilarious motherfucker when he wants to be. The fact that he's Hudson in Aliens and Simon in True Lies earns him a spot automatically on my list.
Christopher Walken - I don't think I could sum it up better than Succubus. This guy's voice is amazing. He can make any line of dialogue memorable, even if the line itself is cheesy and forgettable on paper.
Edward Norton - One of, if not the, best actors of his generation. He's amazing in everything he's in, be it American History X, Fight Club, or even widely hated flicks like Death To Smoochy.
ACTRESSES:
Sigourney Weaver - A legend amongst the sci-fi crowd and originator of the strong female heroine in action flicks. Pretty much the only actress that I can think of that can get an Oscar nomination for an action/sci-fi movie (genres not favored highly by the Academy), while being able to pull off completely different roles at the same time in movies such as Gorillas In The Mist and Copycat.
Naomi Watts - Beautiful and talented. The perfect actress combination.
Linda Hamilton - An accomplished dramatic actress who, at the same time, has the ability to wield so many guns and stomp so much ass even Rambo himself would quiver. Now that's talent.
OO-MA Thurman - A phenomenal actress and a formidable action star, proving that she could blend the two marvelously in Kill Bill. Beauty with a brain and a shitload of skill.

Time for an update.
Scarlett Johansson
I'll admit I was never really a fan of this chick but ever since Lost In Translation I've fallen in love. She's just so damn cool and she's dirty. A great talent and she will be around for a very long time. I'd love to hang out with her you'd have a fun time.
Colin Farrell
Ok his feckin' persona is annoying and tiresome but theres just something about they guy. He has made some bad choices, S.W.A.T. and The Recruit but the lad has a lot of talent and I'm positive will get better and better.
Uma Thurman
Ive always thought that she was a solid actress thanks to her roles in Gattaca, Pulp Fiction and Dangerous Liaisions (sp?) but ever since I've become the butt of my mates jokes for being a teeny bit obsessed with Kill Bill. I've become a real fan, I mean I bought Pay Check just cause she was in it. A really graceful and intelligent actress.
Ray Liotta
Been a fan since Goodfellas but his roles in Identity and the awesome NARC have really made me realise that he is a brilliant character actor and so under-valued that it hurts. Also seems like a real cool guy.
Naomi Watts
Truly my favourite actress at the moment. Awesome in 21 Grams and Mulholland Drive. Solid in The Ring and Le Divorce and she is going to be massive and a true great. Such a beautiful woman with immense acting talent and integrity.

The Dudes...
Gary Oldman - Incredibly versatile, frightening, subtle, always watchable and never below average. Has he ever used the same voice in more than 2 films?!
John Turturro - My personal unsung hero. Can do no wrong. From his work with Coens, to Sandler, to the little quiet indie films that no one ever sees, he's always watchable and exciting. Fucking Jesus Quintana, man.
Sean Penn - Intense, intense, intense, intense... and one of the coolest men to ever grace the screen.
The Gals...
Susan Sarandon - Charming, beautiful, versatile and always watchable. When she's on, the best actress I've ever seen. Is getting better with age, unlike most.
Zooey Deschanel - Ok... she's made like, what, not even 10 films, but she's already my favorite actress out there. Her beauty, talent, intelligence, voice, eyes, passion for film and music and... yeah, her beauty. I'd kill for this girl... well, not really, but definitely kick their ass.
Jennifer Connelly - She is insanely gorgeous even when giving a fierce performance as a drug addict in Requiem... 'nuff said. And I have such a soft spot for Labyrinth... grrr.

Actor: Johnny Depp
He's original, he'll take chances when he loves the role or the director. POTC was a huge chance...everyone laughed at the idea when the movie was announced. He took the character and created someone very memorable. He could have just taken the paycheck and played the role straight, as it was written...but he created Jack Sparrow. And he'll still work for practically nothing (The Libertine, just finished filming) when he believes in the character.
Actress: Jody Foster
She's not on the cover of US magazine on a regular basis...and she's not a famewhore. I just like her...not sure why. I'll see anything she does.
