I have a question, at the end of House on Haunted Hill who was that the ghost of who pulled on the rope allowing Eddie to escape the attic?

Blackburn or Watson?

It could have been either, Watson didn't appear when the shadow was mocking Eddie with the souls it's collected, but I think Blackburn did. Watson was absorbed by the shadow though, but Burnham wasn't, plus Blackburn was not one of the people the house wanted. I can't tell who it is at the end, does anyone know?

***SPOILERS***

It was Chris Kattan, I think he played 'Watson'.
I don`t remember who 'Blackburn' was.

I just know it was the Chris Kattan character who comes back as a ghost and helps them at the end.

That ending was terrible.

I agree. The rest of the movie (and the cast) was pretty good though.

Elgyn is wrong...

SPOILERS********

It was NOT Chris Kattan's character (Watson Pritchett) who pulled the rope. It was the ghost of Blackburn (Peter Gallagher) because he was the ONLY guest who was not related to anyone who used to work at the asylum (remember, he was killed by Famke Janssen's character, not the house).

Sure as hell LOOKED like Chris Kattan to me. Besides, Blackburn was an asshole. He had no desire or motivation to let anyone live or help them escape.

It was Chris Kattan's character that helped them escape at the end- how could you mistake it?

My bad. the first time I saw it I thought it was Kattan's character. Then when I got it on DVD, I thought it looked like Gallagher's character, but now that I watch it frame-by-frame, I see I am wron. Damn. I hate being wrong...
;) :D
