Sure, I must give Murphy a hand at his talent of playing multiple characters, but one wonders how many sappy scenes can one director fit into a 2 hour comedy? Thie first movie satisfied my need to see the Klumps sit around a expel gas. Yes it's funny, but yes it can possibly get irritating at a point. Poor Eddie though, he really does show amazing talent, and all of his characters, be they annoying at points, are very good. Its Janet Jackson who drags the movie down. Well, maybe its the sappy scenes... well maybe its.... maybe it wasnt needed. Who knows. I give it a thumbs down, but hey I did laugh.

I have to admit that I did not like this movie at all. Yes, much respect to Eddie Murphy for his multiple Klump characters...But, latex and makeup does not a movie make. I have to admit, Janet Jackson was not great, but I don't think she was that bad that she dragged the movie down. I think the story, screenplay, and pointless gags/jokes in general dragged the movie down. There were some brief (and I mean brief) shining moments...But overall, I would say save yourself the cost of the movie tickets and use it to buy the soundtrack instead. (The soundtrack is pretty good).

I had been looking forward to the film. I even paid to watch it. Bad move on my part...the admission wasn't worth the mediocre film. The funniest part for me was some corn stuck on peoples' heads. Yeah sounds like a riot. Another example why few sequels should be made.

The movie was OK. I have to admit, though, that I died laughing when I heard:

"I saw a cute young boy who pointed at me and said, 'Look mommy! It's the HAMSTER'S BITCH!!!' " That line is just classic.

RetardinAZ...I completely agree with you on that line! That made me laugh in the theatres.
