Am I the only one excited about seeing this movie? I can't wait till I see some pictures or at least a teaser poster.

Yeah, the movie sounds really good. I liked the first one so I bet Nemesis will be good too.

Im dying to see what nemesis looks like you do get to see a small glimpse of him at the end of Resident Evil when Alice is getting up from the table and looks into the double sided glass you see him walk by. Pretty neat.

I second that. I loved Event Horizon, but Anderson fucked up, what could have been a great series if it was in the right hands. i.e. George Romero. I'm not looking forward to Nemesis and may skip it all together.

i on the other hand would say that i thought event horizion was pretty lame for me....and i totally enjoyed resident evil far beyond what i thought i would have.bring on the teaser,tv spots and posters for this one,i am awaiting this one as well.

I enjoyed parts of Event Horizon, especially the opening sequence, that rocked. It all got a bit much by the end, sort of fell off the rails and could have been great if it stayed on.

does anyone know for sure they are making a second film? If they are than I can't wait either. The first was just awsome.

O- NuclearMISFIT- that wasn't Nemises on the other side of the glass door-just a zombie- Nemesis was taken away by the guys in gas masks. u can tell by his mutating arm.

Don't hold your breath. They didn't use any characters from the game in the first one, and they probably won't here either.

I can't get behind any project Anderon's name is on. The first RE was wretched. The man just pissed all over one of the most succesful game franchises of all time. I shudder to think what he'll do to NEMESIS.

I loved the Resident Evil and can't wait to see Nemesis. Anderson did a great job. I hope he gets moving on the script. The last bit of information I read said he was about half way through the script and that was two or three months ago.

Nope, Jill Valentine will be in the second as will be Alice.

Really? Well that's an improvement, at least. One of my biggest complaints with the first RE is that they dumped the well established game characters in exchange for flat, poorly written placeholders, so Jill is a step in the right direction. I guess it would be hard to have Nemesis without any S.T.A.R.S. officers, wouldn't it?

and correct me if im wrong, but isnt natasha henstridge playing jil??or gina phllips?i know both are signed on for the movie...and thats a plus, with me being the big henstridge fan i am...

The reason that they didnt have any of the cast of the game is because this was supposed to be a prequal to the game. From what i heard, The events that happened in the first RE were taking place during what we say in the movie. I think nemesis will pick up at Resident Evil 2. That is what i heard.

p.s. Event Horizon is one of my favorite films (8/10)

Yes, I realize that it was supposed to be a prequel, but that doesn't change the fact that they passed up the chance to use perfectly good prestablished characters (as in the Romero script) in exchange for crappy ones. The whole prequel thing was a dumb idea to begin with. If it ain't in the mansion, it ain't RESIDENT EVIL (the first one, anyway).

Yes, Romero did use pre-established characters in his script but I believe he changed their profiles. I think the main character was changed to having Indian heritage, etc. I didn't like Romero's script it all. I did however, love Anderson's movie.

At the end when Alice walks out to the streets and takes the shotgun it is supposed to be right after RE2.

Event Horizon was a pile. If you've played the game, RE was a very good movie, it was very true. for the most part. And this helped make a strong movie. I still think George Romero should have directed it, but hey, I enjoyed the movie. I think the sequal has the potential to be an excellent flick, but it also has the potential to suck my ass. Video Game movies have yet to have a true savior and leader. Comic movies got that in Spider-Man (tho as much as i LOVE Spider-Man, TMNT is still the best book to film adaptation for a comic to date. That movie was torn directly from the TPB)... we can only hope RE:N will make that move into the new age of film and vidgame.

Yes it is actually right after RE2, that's where Nemesis starts off, and speaking of that part, It was probably the most memorable scene of 2002 for me! even though TTT is coming up and there's gonna be a 40 minute battle sequence, so that might change my mind...but I still cannot forget the music and the cam zooming out to show the city all on fire and Alice is standing there ready to kick ass!, simply amazing! So what was that everyone said about Paul "Resident Evil" Anderson...being a bad director? :o

did anybody play resident evil 0...the plot for it is pretty kickass...heres a summed up plot i got from gamespy....havent played the game, but this plot sounds killer for a prequel of sorts...

"Resident Evil 0 tells the story of the events leading up to the horrific "mansion incident" chronicled in the original Resident Evil. Playing 0 will, of course, help to fill in many of the missing pieces in the series' story, giving fans even more convoluted explanations and theories to mull over until Resident Evil 4. As the story begins, the S.T.A.R.S. Bravo Team has been dispatched to investigate a series of grisly murders in the normally quiet Raccoon City. However, on the way in, their helicopter crashes. While everyone (including main character Rebecca Chambers) manages to make it out alive, their equipment is gone, and the Bravo Team finds themselves in the middle of a gruesome scene. A Navy transport has overturned, and corpses are littered everywhere. One body is unaccounted for -- that of Captain Billy Cowen. Bravo Team sets out to find him, but despite the carnage around them, they have no inkling of the horror what lies in store... "

i know i might be going too far,but if you ask me,they have potential with this,i liked andersons work on RE,liked the story, the effects and such...so i truly believe they should make a film for each of the games plots....3 or 4 movies i would be cool with,i mean if they follow the exact stories and plots,it wont be bad, unless they do major changes to it...

Oh come on!! Super mario Bros was easily the best game-to-movie todate!! j/k! :P

Yes, I'd have to say this is the best game to flick yet. If any movie had the potential for greatness and came up worst that shit, it was Wing Commander. I mean, the movie footage in the game blows the tripe that was on screen away. If they would have made the Kilrathi a more regal race, of tacticioners and warriors, instead of slimey, goopy alien and actually made you respect if not hate them, would have made for a great sci-fi epic drama the likes of Star Wars and Babylon 5... but no, instead we get Matt Lillard and Freddy Prinz in a garbage movie that wasn't worth buying popcorn to see it. I think the only reason I even bothered to sit through the movie was because the TPM trailer was going to be shown at the end of it. (sigh, of only TPM would have just stayed a trailer...)

Man oh Man, I sooooo loved Resident Evil what an entertaining film, I seriously can't wait for Nemesis I am also wondering what this bad boy is gonna look like, and I hope its Alice who kills Nemesis because it would make sense really since them two were mates or somet like that in the first one. Shame Michelle won't be returning but I'll be buying the DVD when its releashed over here in the UK (23rd decemember for us UK schomes). Can't wait for the trailer to appear :D

I cannot believe that anyone is actually excited about a second outing of this film. The effects, acting, plot and zombies were all close to the worse I have ever seen.

This film did not do justice to the game. I can't believe that Anderson is still getting paid to make such shit.

He has 1 bad movie after another since Shopping.

What the hell? Did you read Romero's script? It sucked big time. It followed the first game exactly, it would've probably been the worst video game movie. I liked the first Resident Evil, I like Paul Anderson, I like both Paul Andersons, and I am looking forward to Nemesis.

The reason everyone liked it (I think anyways) was the entertainment value in it, I don't think most of us cared for the cgi much but you can't honestly say that this movie was not entertaining in the slightest. It was entertaining pure and simple, and it rocked the house down :D

From what I've read, Anderson has finished the script for RE2, thats what I read in that Arrow interview ages ago.

ive got to say i thought RE sucked big style, i played the computer game and there was surley enough of a plot to make a film out of. I will prob watch the second one but i hope it will take the story of the second computer game because i think it needs to have more action in it than the first one, it was to slow to start. Another thing the licker in RE was crap it really looked so fake i think it would have been better with out it.

They needed a big monster you know, for the finale. They needed something big and so they put in the Licker, they could of gone with the Tyrant but having Nemesis in the second one it would just be like repeating themselves, I'm happy with the Licker that tongue kicked ass (hence his name - duh!!)

I'm waiting in line right now , the forst one is already a classic in my opinion , and PA did a great job with a miniscule budget , by hollywood standards that is . With a little more cash and an increase in his skills and talent , Nemesis should really shine .
