Hey I was wondering if anyone can help me out. I know this is going to sound crazy, but when I was about 6 I thought I saw a movie where this families father dies and posesses an antique lamp in the attic of some house. About a year or two later I saw it again and my mom had rented it, when I asked her why she rented it again, she replied that she didn't, that it was a new release at the time it freaked me out, but I soon forgot about it. Well I'm 18 now and just recently something made me remember this after all these years and ever since then it has bugged me and I haven't been able to find out the name of the movie. I don't know even know if it exists, for all I know the whole thing could've been dream, but I figure one of you might have saw it if it was real. Here some scenes I think I remember:

-Some guy going into the basement of the house to fix pipes and being killed

-Someone trying to purchase the lamp after the fathers death at the families yard sale and cutting herself on it.

-The father controlling his daughter and being able to comunicate with her

-The house being by a beach and at the end of the movie the lamp is thrown out the attic window and shatters on the sand.

Please help me. Thanks.

Could it be Amityville: The Evil Escapes?

That's exactly what it is. I specifically remember the woman cutting herself on the lamp. There's also a token "dude putting his hand down the garborator" scene. Bad, bad movie if I remember correctly.

yup thats it but, I dont remember it being so good. Its got a made for tv budget.

If you wanna see a better version of this story, check out Amytiville 1993:Its about time. Only instead of a lamp, its a clock.
This in my opinion is one of the better Amytiville sequels.

Of course for the best Aytiville sequel check out part II the possesion, now theres a kick ass movie!! :D
